How Come Black Men Fail At Fatherhood and Marriage?

I'm saying breh, collectively we are going to be left behind. What does it take for our communities to thrive? We know about the problems of yesteryear but today in 2013 to be running around with know direction as a group is troubling. WTF does it take?

We need to change the culture that we embrace. We need to leave all that "nikka" shyt we embrace behind and throw it in the bushes. We need more fathers in the households showing their sons the importance of marriage so we have less black men out here being promiscuous and getting caught up. We need the black community to be a patriarchy where the black man leads and the black woman takes the back seat and black women need to be able to recognize true leaders and not get pregnant by no good nikkas


We also need more black men to make our presence felt in fields of science, medicine, law, and politics to make sure that our influence is there and that our best interests are being looked out for. Hopefully get into more positions of power to change some of these laws and create more oppurtunities for our people.

Twice as many black women as men go to graduate school, and in law and medicine, the gender gap is approaching 2 to 1 as well.

Going forward as a race of men, how do we hold each other accountable as brothers, fathers and husbands?

Being a Daddy sounds more involved than "becoming a father" but if "fatherhood" isn't the goal then why is the event called the FATHERHOOD Summit...

The modern American man in general regardless of race does not see the value in raising a family. He'd rather run around fukking bytches and only being responsible for himself. Because they look to the wrong people for direction. I don't understand what's so thrilling about your father being in and out of jail, selling drugs, shot at, being chased by the cops, etc that was SO fascinating that you wanted to be EXACTLY like him when you grew up.

The concept of a family man in the black community is frowned upon, no matter what age he is. Look at Ice Cube and the flack he got when he made kids' movies, and he was in his 40s.

Guess people want this to become another Western Europe where less and less people have families.

Yeah I don't get it. My dad always told me the greatest thing a man can do is to raise and lead a succesful family. Doesn't matter what you accomplish during your time here if you don't leave your seeds behind to carry on your legacy it was all for nothing.

What we have here is a systematic birthing of a generation of men being raised by women. That's not how God designed it.
