Who gives a shyt, when i had hair i had my shyt crispy at the end of every week... :youngsabo: nothing made me feel better than leaving the barber shop looking fresh..
Key words... When u had hair :dead:

Get shape ups brehs

I stopped going to the barbers precisely because they always pushed my shyt back. Been cutting my hair ever since and my hairline back strong!

come lets be real.... ain't no white people alive checking your hairline

get a hairCUT and that's what they want... but a shapeup?? nah... only other nikkas will call you out on that shyt... i've NEVER heard a white person even bring up a black man's hairLINE

We already know these shifty older caucasion men, in most cases, don't care to learn the details of black hair culture. They don't have to. When they say look presentable, it's already implied to get as clean cut as possible, if you want to be hired.

NOW LETS be real. Do you get A "one" across your whole head in ABOUT ten seconds, then LEAVE? :mjpls:

No I dont. Cause I'm a fan of a crisp edge up but I always get a straight 1

I also know white men have no idea what a shape up is. They care more about long hair and facial hair than the state of your edges

So how would you know what they think about it if you've never presented yourself that way? They care about it all, they just don't care to learn the semantics. It's already been stated they think it just comes naturally that way with black men, so they are aware.

Asking them for one. And not always having a shape up. Just cause I'm a fan doesn't mean I get a fresh one every 2 weeks like some nikkas

Again. Find one white who ever talked about edges. It's about that long, braided, natural, etc etc etc.

Matter fact I know from my stepdad. nikka been caking and doing major gov projects for corporations for decades and I've literally NEVER seen him with a shape up. Ever

Look at some of these black business workers. A lot have fukked up shape ups

So you asked your employer if it was ok to not get a shape up before he/she hired you, before your interview? Then got hired? Not having a shape up is natural..so you are saying getting a shape up does matter?

The guy doing major corporate projects is possibly his own boss, as well as the business owner, so different rules usually apply.

no nikka i came to the interview with zero shape up... then proceeded to see 4-5 other blacks do the same.. my stepdad isn't his own boss... cause i've seen him go for interviews... no cut

like i said... google some black business men.... they all don't have shape ups. you really can't admit that maybe white people give no shyts about that and really wouldn't know what one is if you told them?

shyt they still be on some "let me touch your hair" type shyt... i took my white friend to a barbershop once and he was in there like :ohhh:

never believe white people care about us that much to learn details... they just know a "unprofessional" cut when they see one... but they don't know the details of that line up with the light fade, rounded in the back.... they just don't know

Alright so you did. That would make you an anomaly by taking this route and being hired. Here are some black business men.

It's not really a case of what is maybe or maybe not. Black men are expected to clean up, cut/shape up for work and are encouraged to do so unless you want to be left behind in the search for employment. I get what you mean when you say caucasians don't completely know or understand what that means for a black man, but there is alot of inconsistancy in your replies. "aint no white people checking for your hairline" then, "they care more about your length/facial than edge". It's either they care none, or they do care, and they do, based on a majority favor..not a few exceptions.

Sad to say, that is true. Why else you have some broke nikkas in the barbershop every week getting line-ups and pushing their hairline farther and farther back? That shyt is low-key making the dating scene hard for black brehs that ain't on that flashy lifestyle.
It makes the scene harder for those that dont know how to chose a righteous woman ,

Me and my sons dont follow this shyt. I have a short cut... but sometimes its just grew out like whatever.
One son dreads, others various styles.

are you giving me celebs nikka??

just go outside in the city... look at the black men dressed in business attire... do they all have perfect shapeups? you do know you can have a clean cut, fresh cut, with no edge up right??

that's what i keep trying to convey to you... black people care more about that hairline shyt than any other race.... cause of what other blacks will know and say

look at this link... all i did was google "black businessmen"

http://www.businessinsurance.org/10-most-successful-african-american-ceos-of-all-time/

90% of the black men have no sort of shape up... check the google images... it's usually the young ones... them old dudes don't give no fukks

my quotes make perfect sense.... you can sit in a chair and say give me a cut... and rock your natural hairline and still look right

but come in that bytch with a freeway beard or a perfect afro, and they will look at that WAY worse than a perfect cut, minus an edge up... mind you you're talking to someone who does interviews and has many lessons on what to look for.... clean and kept is the way to go... not edge up with a razor

i'm not saying it isn't a PLUS... but no white people are paying attention to your hair line... sorry
