inferiority complex

same reason why we gotta have the most expensive gear, car, jewelry, sneakers, phone etc....

To be fair though, most white boys hairlines aren't even visible because they wear it longer than black men do on average

Yea well when you can slap a bowl on your head and just give a quick trim, hair line life means nothing. :mjcry:

It is bullshyt really.

A cac balds or his hairline recedes no one makes a big deal out of it. A brotha experiences the same, he clowned on by insecure nikkas

Nah, its the acceleration of baldness through haircuts is what makes it so :bryan:

i gotta couple brehs that can get a edge up every week and their hairlines are still crisp as it was in HS. but MOST dudes that was on that tight edgeup wave are walkin round one with receding hairlines or baldies now  i'm glad i never subscribed to getting haircuts weekly/bi-weekly.

The barber never gave them the warning talk?:dwillhuh:

Shape ups a contemporary thing. You never seen MLK or Malcolm X with an artificial shart hairline. You never seen Michael Jackson with one back in the 80s. Or KRS in his prime. It was a mid 90s thing that sprung out of control and accelerated baldness for many brehs.

So maybe the hairline movement is to subconsciously seperate black men, spiritually and practically, from some of our greatest leaders in order for us to be "capable" employees? :ohhh: (not to those who know their history anyway regardless of hair shape, specifically the unconsious and misguided).

Not me, I got my haircut one week and a shape up the next, I never had braids or cornrows which is what I personally feel leads to baldness and the receding line.

Sad to say, that is true. Why else you have some broke nikkas in the barbershop every week getting line-ups and pushing their hairline farther and farther back? That shyt is low-key making the dating scene hard for black brehs that ain't on that flashy lifestyle.
naw this isn't true, you got a variety of different nikkas rocking too many different hairstyles still pulling females.

Malcolm's hairline looked rough, but it was proportionate. MLK's hairline was kinda

Regardless, they are in the history books as emancipators of black folks. Today, nikkas break their necks for a sharp hairline and to do anything for superficial appearances.
