I'm telling what people consistently told me when I tried to put them on Krit back in the day.

And it's not all about having a deep voice. There are deep voices that don't project. Krit's is one of them:manny:

Listen to Krit rap then listen to a nikka like 3K, or Pimp C rap. There's a stark contrast in how their voices project and impose themselves on a record. It's not just tone, there's a sharpness and a snap to nikkas delivery that makes people listen. That's what Krit lacks

And mind you I already mentioned Mt Olympus being one of his most popular songs where he happens to have a delivery stronger than what he normally does

I've been neglecting to address the country shyt but I'll do it in a different post
I'm still not seeing it breh :russ:

I think whoever told you that was just looking for some shyt when they just ain't into his kinda music. Cause I can name tons of songs where his delivery was on point

I don't see how his voice is weak :dwillhuh:

He had the strongest delivery on posse cuts like 1train and way more songs than Mt Olympus

If you mean he's too country, ok I can see that. But breh voice way deeper than drake, kendrick, and even cole

Can you provide examples of what you mean? Cause all I can think is if you mean on his songs like bigger picture or the vent. Which wouldn't be what I'd consider lacking commanding delivery. Moreso like the more laid back cuts, but it would make sense if that's what you meant originally
If the last 10 years have taught us anything, rapping ability and voice has zero to do with why anyones career doesnt work. Weve seen lil yachty, young nudy, 21 savage, etc THRIVE

The only one out of this list I'll give you is Yacthy because that nikkas voice is atrocious but you're still making my point funny enough. If Yacthy's voice wasn't so awful he'd be top 3 most popular rappers right now. He has great concepts and songs, but his voice holds them back a lot

You may not like 21's voice but there are definitely people that do. If you think his shyt is bad now you should hear his voice before he blew up:mjlol: Same for Nudy

Rae attached themselves to the A tho....different story :hubie:
My point exactly :manny:

If they was rapping over church organs and blues guitars then they'd be neck to neck with krit

Unfortunately history repeating. David banner was making music more conscious than most of them fugazi ass ny nikkas but he only popped with his club songs

People only wanna hear a southern rapper rap with substance when he sound like dead prez :yeshrug:

Just look at killer Mike

What are the main themes of music? One minute he's a pimp, the next he's a loverboy, the next he's a political commentator, the next he's an advocate for everything southern.
This isn't as damning of a contrast as you're making it. The first 2 is basically Drake. The next 2 don't necessarily clash.

:dahell: you serious? I don't know what your definition of commanding is but the answer is obviously yes

When I talk about commanding I'm talking about voices that cut through and steal attention when you hear them. Eminem has a voice and delivery that cuts through.

Wayne has a weird voice but that shyt makes nikkas listen.

I don't even like Drake but the nikka's voice is loud and crystal clear, and it's a huge factor in his success

Now I think Jay has an awful voice, but yes it was commanding enough. But there are other factors that come into play. Jay had elite rhymes and production in his come up that picked up the slack of his vocal flaws. Now after the Blueprint Jay actively improved on his voice, this includes his adoption of the Young Chris flow which did a lot for him
I actually think Jay's voice got weaker post-Blueprint.

Commanding doesn't necessarily mean a baritone-bass voice at all times.

Lil Baby and 21 Savage are stars and you got folks in here talking about Krit’s voice :mjlol: Just say you don’t like his music, it’s ok. These extra excuses are crazy
The biggest rapper for the past decade literally sounds like this but but krit voice :dead:
