DC def has a accent. When I used to goto VSU and was dealing with them DC nikkas. It stood out. Matter of fact. It made all our accents show.
DC. Maryland. South Philly. 757 nikkas. Southern Va nikkas. Brooklyn nikkas . Bronx nikkas. shyt we even had a mix of Cali bytches and Chicago . First time I met a Chicago , I was like why the fukk you sound like from the deep south.

You can tell ppl who've never actually been to NYC and get their conclusions of New Yorkers through entertainment. All New Yorkers' accents don't sound the same nor do all have an accent, to begin with.
Harlem folks don't sound like Brooklyn people. Brooklyn people don't sound like Queens. Bronx don't sound like Manhattan, etc, etc.
White New Yorkers don't sound like Black New Yorkers. Hispanic New Yorkers don't sound like Asian/Chinese new yorkers. Jewish New Yorkers don't sound like Arab New Yorkers, etc, etc.
