Yes they do lol. Philly got a very distinct cadence to their accent. Plus they share that “oou” stretch with Baltimore on certain words too

Maybe I’m too accustomed to hearing it than cuz I’ve never really noticed any accents and I live right here in SE.

That’s the only way to explain it tbh lol. The accent be especially thick asf in Soufeast. Hell, most of the brehs here in PG County and over in Silver Spring and Alexandria, VA share that same accent for the most part too. But only those of us who were born & bred here. I didn’t think I had the accent til I went to my HBCU that had hella nikkas from Baltimore, NYC, Jersey, Virginia, and Florida and started pointing it out and I started noticing how I pronounced shyt on the regular.

Eddie definitely has one. The Wayans have one too. Not every accent is a caricature.

Philly has one, outside of pronouncing certain words like Water/wooder...it's there.

DC definitely has an accent too...it threw me because I was going to DC my whole life and a large part of my fam is there, but they're all transplants from PA. I didn't hang around true DC nikkas until 11th grade, and I was like...the fukk, y'all talk like y'all from the south.

Just like every down south breh don't talk like their missing teeth, the accents are there.

Stringer Bell and Avon Barksdale sound like NYers

A few of them like d'angelo , prop joe and snoop from there, slim charles from dc everybody else from nyc

Yeah Philly accents are more country but a East Coast type of slur. I remember helping a client out in Savannah and this dude went "you not from around here are you".

Its a weird but sharp tone to our voices that's hard to shake off

I’ve lived in DC for most of my life so I’m pretty much used to hearing how people talk here which is why I barely notice any accents.
