Took my daughters by there when I moved us from up north back down home so it will always have a special place in my heart. We stopped by there during the pandemic so the park wasn’t open but we got to hit up the candy store and gift shop. I wanted to stop by Gettysburg too but we didn’t have the time.

Denzel has a thick NYC accent.

Tichina Arnold sounds exactly like where she is from: Jamaica, Queens.

Chris Rock sounds like Bed-Stuy to me ears.

Stephen A Smith acts occasionally on a soap opera. His NYC accent is muscular.

Tracy Morgan has an over-the-top NYC accent. Eddie nails it on the Kimmel show.

JB Smoove got a thick New York accent.

Y'all must’ve went around the onset of the pandemic because me and my crew went up there in July when it reopened. It was hella people there, thankfully none of us caught anything lol

Michael Jordan was born in Brooklyn but raised in North Carolina. I hear much more NC
than NYC when he speaks.

Al Sharpton tends to sound more generically black Southern than NYC sounding, which is strange
since he has been a prominent New York City native since his childhood.

Sanaa Lathan has some slight NYC going when she speaks, but her formal theater training may
have minimized it.

Angela Bassett was born in Harlem but raised in Florida. I don't hear a distinct NYC accent coming from her.

His mom is from Dothan AL if I recall clearly so I think that might explain that for him

That's probably what makes his accent so unique since so few from Alabama came to NYC via the Great Migration.

Everyone has an accent. LA, Chicago, Dallas/Houston, NOLA, Memphis, St. Louis, ATL, Miami, NYC/NJ, Philly, DC etc.

Only one I'm not as sure about is Detroit. Gotta hear more people from there talk to pin it down. Jalen Rose is the only one that comes to mind, maybe Jerome Bettis.
