2. He got matched with the Gullah people who are pretty much pure African and he is Liberian. Gullah people are dissimilar from the average AA.

Also to clarifify with #2 I wouldnt say i matched with Gullah people but more so SC had a high population of Slaves from the Windward Coast. My tribe isnt native to Liberia or Guinea/Ivory Coast but the Gola people are (which Gullah comes from).

Most Mande tribes didnt move to the coast of West Africa until the Mali kingdom began to decline.

I think me having a high connection to SC as far as AAs are concerned is mainly due to them sourcing slaves from the Windward Coast more so than the exact Gullah/Gola connection. I would assume that the people in SC assumed the Gullah title mainly because a majority of the people may have come from the Gola tribe but the non Gola people may have shared similar cultural traditions so the name probably just stuck.
