Depends.

1. He's got his father's backing if he wants to get casted in a big-money blockbuster.

2. Just because you are a big name doesn't mean you'll end up in a good movie. e.g. Kevin Costner in Waterworld, Mariah Carey in Glitter.

3. Nothing is guaranteed in Hollywood. Look at Cuba Gooding Jr. His career went south after Jerry Maguire. Why? I don't know.

I think some people don't want to see Jaden make it to the top because he didn't have to pay his dues, act in high school or college plays/shows, work as a waiter in LA going to tons of casting auditions, taking on radio and TV commercials just to make some extra money, etc.

But he's gotta do some heavy, indy, offbeat, R rated flick to get that real praise going though. He's not gonna get simply by doing big summer blockbuster, PG-PG13, big name remakes, and father/son projects only. He's gotta venture out be on some other shyt at least every other project.

I'mma pay attention to what types of roles he picks and choose in the future. If its all 'safe shyt' then he might be a teen idol type cat as his ceiling but he won't get any serious actor daps and accolades from the critics and film buffs that's for sure.

This kid was very believable in Karate Kid and him and Jackie Chan had me almost choked up in the scene where Jackie got drunk and destroyed the car he was rebuilding. AND the scene had little dialogue! Watching movies alot doesnt make you an expert on acting.

I hated that movie but, yeah. And to my knowledge that's his whole body of work: Pursuit of Happyness and Karate Kid. Both of which he did great in and cats are saying he's a bad actor.
