50% Mexican is way over-exaggerated and Chicago BBQ pretty much blows. There's lots of authentic Mexican spots all over Houston. Top food cities are NY, SF, Chi, and LA. Houston is in that next tier.

I been spoiled the past 5+ years pulling chicks in college and beyond by not doin shyt or at most shyt I'd be doing anyway, like ice cream/coffee and checking out the river/scenic shyt or at most weed, liquor/thot juice and chillin.
Chicago chicks or chicks with roots in the Chi been a healthy part of my roster too, they all ways down to have a good ass time doing whatever.

I have been several times to both Cities and I was not a fan of Houston. I found it sprawling, with everything spread out. I was also harassed nightly by homeless people walking one block from my conference center to the hotel I stayed at.

Chicago had a better layout, the lake, museums and parks.

I am from New England though, so I may just not be built for Texas. I LOVED Austin though....just too damn hot in August.

Yeah, the bums are like roaches out here, real talk. Can't even stop at the gas station without a motherfukker begging for change

OP should just have a crib in Houston for the winter and another in the Chi for the summer.

That's my plan and I'm actively working towards it everyday. I love Chicago. Favorite city right behind my own. I love the energy up there, I love the women, I love the fact that I see my Black people everywhere. Being from the A that last one is very important to me. And that shyt isn't that expensive. Still plenty of decent areas where you can get a decent spot for a str8 ticket. I just looked at a unit up there in a building right off Lake Shore Dr for less than 150K. I've seen foreclosures up there recently for less than 50K. All in decent areas. Now tell me where you can get a decent spot with a view of a large body of water like that, in walking distance to a subway stop for that price?? My city cheap as hell and even spots near subway stops in non ratchet areas are more than that. And my city honestly doesn't even have as much to offer as the Chi. Illinois taxes are insane but I'm not changing my residency from GA and I'm not changing my car registration over either. There are ways around that stuff. That's my goal brehs. I want to be in the Chi for the summer and back home for the winter. I'll be a happy man if I can do that
