The thing is that you don't know their personal relationship with the mother. Maybe she's known them for years and developed a great relationship with the instructors, or maybe the instructors are gay. They are dance instructors after all. I mean damn how the hell are you going to judge them when you don't know their history?
I wouldn't give a shyt what their previous history was. You don't put your 13 year old daughter in a situation like that.
Kids in youth athletics go by themselves with coaches or on camps all the time. Your kid can be molested at anytime, it's up to you be able to judge whether you would put your trust in the person you are giving your kid too. Obviously the mother trusted the instructors enough to go with them, how is it any different from the millions of other kids across the nation that are left to these coaches without parents? As long as you trust the person and can speak with your kid every day, what the hell is wrong with it? You might even be more reassured if the instructors were gay which is very possible with this specific case.
man, SHUT THE fukk UP! this isn't even about the mother. this is about cops pulling them over, looking at the official documents, and still deciding to take the girl and arrest them because they were two black boys in the south riding around with a white girl.I'm saying "no" if that was me and my kid. To me, that's irresponsible.
My parenting is obviously different than this lady.

Seriously. I would hope if a cop saw two adult white men and a teenage black girl together he would intervene.
and cases of molestation happen all the time in these instances too.. (Jerry Sandusky...the recent rash of cases against Boy Scouts leaders etc) as a parent the best thing is to trust no one outside of family ....close friends. group outings with coaches..instuctors etc are fine. but letting a child go alone with a grown non family member of the opposite sex is asking for trouble in this day and age.
