Make college free and the gaps in labor will fill in

:manny:
Not sure it works that way... about half of college students today graduate with the incentives of both cost and debt. The idea that removing those incentives will raise the percentage of graduates, especially in the challenging fields where we need graduates doesn't ring true to me. Americans simply don't value education they way we should... and removing cost* doesn't sound like its gonna help.

I'd prefer a push for aptitude test.:yeshrug:
As an employer all i really wanna know is can you do the job im looking to hire you for... you may be brilliant at what I need you for but not studious enough for college.
We need to stop pushing the 4 year degree as the end all be all.

You’re not very bright and it sounds like you don’t value education.

1. this is a good sign that Bernie has strong labor-minded people working on his campaign

2. warren and other candidates are currently paying staffers NOTHING
This is a lie. Her campaign staff has unionized too. She was also one of the few to actually pay her interns as well as paying men & women equal pay for the same work.

:russ: If your business can't afford to pay people a living wage then you're exploiting people and shouldn't have a fukking business you mush brained psychopaths.
What people don't like to talk about is the largest private employers of MW/low wage workers are companies like Wal-Mart who are making billions off the backs of a government subsidized workforce. :francis:

There is an argument against 15/hr and that's probably for the handful of states that have a median wage around 15/hr, but that's another issue altogether.

And the majority of small businesses polled support an increase in the minimum wage tied to inflation and COL standards. :russ:

Economists in support of a federal minimum wage of $15 by 2024

Man, all these tenured economists must be idiots :wow: Sho nuff I sure do wish I knew basic maths so that I could deny people a living wage because "well working for pennies is better than working for nothing" like that doesn't describe a totally alienated and collapsing society.

Reducing the number of jobs nationwide doesn't bode well for blacks in this racist economy.:francis:
Progressive blacks need to realize they are inadvertently pushing a federal 'uplift cacs' policy.
