HBO is showing GOT from the start & it’s jarring seeing how the quality of that is so far ahead of the first 2 seasons of HotD
Man I wasn’t gonna say anything but I literally woke up and turned on the tv and it was the scene where Theon Jr was about to get clipped.HBO is showing GOT from the start & it’s jarring seeing how the quality of that is so far ahead of the first 2 seasons of HotD
The story and characters aren’t as good which makes sense: one is a book series with multiple POV chapters, the other is essentially a history novel. But HOTD contains multiple legendary characters with amazing moments in the book, and this show could have been great based off that alone. Spending an entire season with one of those legendary characters stuck in a haunted castle, doing nothing while his wife was at war, was an insane decision.Man I wasn’t gonna say anything but I literally woke up and turned on the tv and it was the scene where Theon Jr was about to get clipped.
HotD could never
I have NO idea how some people think HOTD is on equal footing with early thronesHBO is showing GOT from the start & it’s jarring seeing how the quality of that is so far ahead of the first 2 seasons of HotD

And I loved the dark fantasy aesthetic of the castle, the witch, the dreams. Would have made for an interesting two episode storyline, which is what a competent writing room would have done.
I also think it’s clear all of these big genre shows have a directive from the studios to drag out seasons, delay reveals/action, focus on origins/prequels, and churn as much slop as possible to extend shows. Might as well call it the Stranger Things principle lol. It’s all about content. Doesn’t matter if your 8 episode season doesn’t land where it needs to: you will get another season to drag things out even further, and viewers will binge it all.
its not supposed to be. HOTD is like a DLC or a side quest.HBO is showing GOT from the start & it’s jarring seeing how the quality of that is so far ahead of the first 2 seasons of HotD
Dannie was right to burn the entire city down....shyt happens. Blame Cersei for waiting too long for the bells. That bytch knew she was dead either way. So she took King's Landing with her.what I found interesting is how so many people were upset about the ending of GOT. but HOTD explained that the ending of GOT was inevitable. Those people are fukked in the brain, but folks were cheering her own when she was forming an army in the early seasons of GOT lol.

She could have just took out the castleDannie was right to burn the entire city down...
you put ya dikk half way in or all of it inShe could have just took out the castle
She nuked a whole city despite winning on the ground, the army forfeited and she still did it.
I thought it was how the *cough* got burned, who killed who, and who the throne went too. it was like a curve ball. I wasn't even mad about it. Altho I would have liked to see Tyrion be king, he went through a lot, is smart and moral, but he didnt want it and prefers to be a right hand. so eh. ending didnt piss me off, the "insert" deserve to sit on the throne anyways. From what I recall, the build-up to Danerys going mad (and how rushed it was) was what had people upset. Not that it actually happened
Nah... It's the same problems they are having now, terrible pacing.I thought it was how the *cough* got burned, who killed who, and who the throne went too. it was like a curve ball. as far as it being rushed, man that show was like 10 years old, she spent 5 building an army, it was about time. I was glad they sped things up. Building up that war for a decade, if you started watching at 23, you were 33 by the finale. lol.
have you seen HOTD and do you know her blood line and their history?Nah... It's the same problems they are having now, terrible pacing.
I'm somebody who would do a full recap before every season, start to season ___, every time. I needed to make sure I knew it ALL. They had her doing GOOD things the entire time. Even when making wrong decisions, she never was maliciously killing, taking over, or going at it alone until she burned the lannister army. And even that was tame.
She listened to council, even when they fukked up. And killing was always her last option. For 8 seasons and a half.....
Then in 3-4 episode span, she goes completely ape shyt by still not killing a soul. Saves the world with her dragons, goes down to talk nice, watches her girl get killed... Still took the humble route and sat on it.. Goes in.. Has the win.........
And then goes full retard?? They should have either dropped a lot more scenes of her losing it and doing wild shyt before..... Or made her downward spiral felt over the course of 1-2 seasons.. Not 1-2 episodes.. But if they never started cutting episodes years before that, we might have gotten that
The twist was not earned
