North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
The only part that bothered me was how Frank told Zoe to erase their texts and contacts. He never saw her do it. She could've said okay and lied. Plus texts on most major providers are saved up to a year or more. They could've easily subpoenaed or hacked her phone and seen her correspondence with Frank. Why didn't Goodwin have her phone records pulled/hacked to show proof of Zoe's relationship with Frank? That was sloppy to me.

Um no, that wasn't going to happen. Damn near impossible. Keep in mind no crime was committed for the to be any time of investigation let alone a subpoena. Hacking was the only way to go. Goodwin only cared about getting out a damn story. So he fukked by talking shyt on the deep web. Stamper used his connections to use the FBI which in turn used a hacker to reveal Goodwin's Identity.

Just started watching HOC. It's not the best show I've watched, it's not the worst, it's solidly entertaining though.

But I'll be damned if it doesn't have the sexiest sex scenes on television right now.

When Kevin Spacey goes down on Kate Mara, the most famous journalist ever, OMG.

Or when Ellen Degeneres gives a steamy rub n tug to that diseased and dying guy in the hospital, WOOF. I mean it probably has the best sex scenes of all time. Really gets me hot and bothered :ld:

Somebody stated there was a reason to everything on this show. So what was the reason behind the "unholy trinity"?

Just pure lust? Or was there a strategy behind it? Or was it simply just to a way to introduce more gay characters?

Also I got a question about the President.

I know there was suspicion but ultimately the president wasn't having an affair right? Or was that just something we'll never know?

Yeah, that murder and the inexplicable lack of any basic police work were goofy. I forgave it because I was so happy to see that annoying fukk gone.

Am I bugging or did Doug Stamper die the exact way Frank's grandfather supposedly died? In a field after taking a rock to the head. Also, for some reason My spidey senses were going off whenever that creepy ass reenactment soldier interacted with Frank. It seems far fetched, but I could see him coming back to try to kill Frank on some deranged assassin shyt.

The Freddy subplot seemed gratuitous. Tusk cutting the lights out on Frank and Frank saving the baseball to use a prop to punctuate a cliche turn of phrase was goofy, and there's too much of that. The president somehow made his way to the White House with absolutely no savvy. Dude was like all the worst aspects of Jimmy Carter and George Bush times a thousand. Russo's ex and her bullshyt relationship with the prez was weak to me.

Surprised to see people complaining about the unrealistic plotlines. Not because I thought this show was realistic, but because it is so entertaining that I have been more than willing to suspend disbelief. Not to mention that when dealing with politics, truth is usually stranger than fiction - so I wouldn't be surprised if all this crazy shyt actually happens.

Agree with all of this, especially the Freddie episode, it's like they were grasping at straws trying to include more black characters...just stop. The lack of police work was laughable too, but like you, I hated Kate Mara's character since chapter 1, I was so happy she got got. I also found it lazy that they then pulled some other "spunky" in-your-face female reporter out of nowhere. They need to find another vehicle to expose back stories aside from reporters.

But like others said, I think the strength of the main characters (frank, Claire, stamper, and to a lesser extent Tusk, Walker, Rachel, Jackie, and Remi) and their enigma outshine some of the goofy plot holes and loosely tied connectors.

And totally agree, when they introduced the gay subtext in season one, that came across as so agenda driven to me..,then episode 11...come on Netflix, you already went balls to the wall with the lesbo porn drama Orange is the New Black.

I also don't like how they poorly integrate technology talk into this show. We know you're a Silicon Valley company, but hitting us over the head with tech talk - new media (slugline) vs old (Washington herald), deep web, the apple showroom (one episode actually had a Mac on a desk facing what would be the guest in the office, who' sits at their desk with the damn computer facing away from them :dahell:) - that doesn't necessarily flow within the show nor seem like it's a genuine interest for the character just seems so forced.

Aight, I'm done with my bytching. Overall this is a great show, I'm happy that netflix and some Select cable channels are putting out great shows cuz network tv is garbage.

:comeon::comeon: Nikka you do realize this shyt all takes place in two years right. Francis is majority whip at the beginning of S1, becomes vice president at the end of that and then
becomes president at the end of S2

The president was in office for a year, when the vice president decided to go back to Pennsylvania and be governor.

Obama did not do all that in 2 years. Obama aint no Francis Underwood. Lol. If anything he like that sucka president in this show.
Something tells me Joe Biden goofing around is an act. But Cheney is underwood.
