Yeah, the writing is too in love with itself. There are only so many times an episode can be carried by powerful men poking each other in the eye and Frank outmanuevering all comers with his ethereal guile. Also, too many of the subplots were dull. I enjoyed the show overall, but I wouldn't rate it up there with even the second tier good cable shows of the past decade.
Y'all saying he came up too quick, the timeline was basically over the course of a year, just cuz you watched it in two days doesn't mean it happened that quick
It took a year for that to happen tho, secondly, Netflix only had contracts with everyone for two seasons, so they had to complete it in a way that kept them covered in the off chance season 3 doesn't happen. Again, if this played out 30 minutes at a time over 26 weeks, y'all wouldn't feel this way. But when you watch it all in two days, a lofty storyline feels even more implausibleHe became Vice President then President in the same season. That's absurd.
.He became Vice President then President in the same season. That's absurd
He became VP at the end of last season and President at the end of this one. At least get the facts right

jackie>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Claire Underwood/Robin Wright has so much sex appeal for a older broad....every time she on the screen I'm like
Imagine living next door to her and she tipsy off the wine...she lay them eyes on u...u know she letting u get the yams....i want NO parts of OG Frank tho .....that episode
It's weird because I did enjoy the show somewhat - mainly because of the performances - but so many things about this show bother me. One, it's obviously not filmed in D.C and is obviously filmed in Baltimore and what looks like parts of Annapolis. Films based in D.C. are routinely filmed in cities like Baltimore, Richmond, etc.. but it's painfully obvious and it bothers the shyt out of me.
As for me almost slamming a a grilled ham and cheese during Episode 1 ...
So Zoe shows up at "Cathedral Heights" at Metro and is walking along the platform trying to find Francis. She spots him, and while trying her best to be inconspicuous, she fails miserably because there are cameras everywhere and it should be obvious to any trained law enforcement agent or investigator watching her on camera that she a) was looking for someone and b) is talking to someone lurking in the shadows to her right. After a few minutes, she walks out of frame into the shadows and all of a sudden she appears again, but flying towards a train that kills her. Of course, when Lucas begins to ask questions, he's shown a short video that is supposed to be definitive proof that Zoe committed suicide. However, there was apparently no front or back end to the video, just her walking into the shadows and then tripping off of the platform to her death. First of all, who the fukk trips face first into an oncoming train like that? Also, no one who investigated the case saw her obviously talking to someone else to her right who can't be seen on camera? And no less than 15 seconds after Zoe is killed by the train, a man dressed in a trench coat, wearing a hat and sporting sunglasses appears from the shadows and walks the opposite way from the scene of Zoe's death and NO ONE thought this was suspicious in any way?!?! So he kills Russo, no footage of that and he kills a woman at a Metro stop with cameras everywhere and even one that shows the murder but nothing of him walking away from the scene.
Got it and get the fukk completely out of my face.
Yeah, that murder and the inexplicable lack of any basic police work were goofy. I forgave it because I was so happy to see that annoying fukk gone.
Am I bugging or did Doug Stamper die the exact way Frank's grandfather supposedly died? In a field after taking a rock to the head. Also, for some reason My spidery senses were going off whenever that creepy ass reenactment soldier interacted with Frank. It seems far fetched, but I could see him coming back to try to kill Frank on some deranged assassin shyt.
The Freddy subplot seemed gratuitous. Tusk cutting the lights out on Frank and Frank saving the baseball to use a prop to punctuate a cliche turn of phrase was goofy, and there's too much of that. The president somehow made his way to the White House with absolutely no savvy. Dude was like all the worst aspects of Jimmy Carter and George Bush times a thousand. Russo's ex and her bullshyt relationship with the prez was weak to me.
