nah i was talking about the old shyt from their original members. Only niccas from the south would know about them.

Three Six after Hustle & Flow just wasn't three six anymore.

Yeah, I can safely say NOONE in ny was playing them. I knew some birds that played 'chicken head' but that's about it.

I remember they had a video where they were hanging out of cars with a noisy ass chaotic beat....one dude had sticks through his face I think. Too much.

I was a fan of 3-6 mafia. theyre legends but comparing them to wutang is laughable.

they were the chit from '95-00 tho. them and the hypnotized minds chit. very underrated group & label. and that headbussaz album that dj paul & juicy j did with Fiend circa '03 was real dope too.

but yea, there seems to be a push to boost them to undeserved heights on here lately. a case of overrating the underrated. I get the feeling that a lot of people on here didn't start listening to them until after they became a wack shuck-n-jive group.

Comparing them to Wu-Tang is not much of a stretch. Ghost, Raekwon, Method(Tical only), RZA, ODB....
Raekwon's ability to story-tell is :wow:

But btw, if you aint from the south you'll always see Wu Tang as a no contest against The original Hypnotize Camp Posse but i beg to differ. :yeshrug:

if I have to be from a certain place in order to view an artist on a certain level, then that artist just isn't that good and is more of a regional legend. not saying that 3-6 are just regional legends but you get the point. this argument only really holds weight when the opposition is being biased, and that's certainly not me.

and im a legit '90s 3-6 fan. but theyre just not in wutang's league.

for starters 3-6 doesn't even have a classic album. nor did they impact the game on a high enough level.

What's some old 3 6 albums worth copping?

everything up to When the Smoke Clears. Unbreakables is when their shyt started to really deteriorate rapidly.

Ghetty Green and Mista Don't Play are the best solos hands down.

Edit: Forgot about Prophet Posse and Kaze albums. If you were digging that corny ass New Orleans shyt, then I hope you will like the Memphis flavor even more. shyt is way more hardcore.
