THINK CL SMOOTH IS UNDERRATED,pete rock's beats could be better. Nice in their complexity but rarely something to jam to

It seems the classic east coast sound just isn't your thing.

Still - even through your lack of interest in the sound - you realize The Infamous' genius.

Never heard or heard of the song or verse.

We seem to have very different definitions of quality hip hop. I don't really see the need to go any further with this discussion. We're talking about two different things. To me, it seems you think up is down and etc. I'm sure you think the same of me. It's not a diss.

that album "guerrilla warfare" is right up there with "36 chambers".

Yeah - I don't care about who owns it, what did you think of all those albums?

1st wu-tang has justified praise, best album out the camp to me. Just sooooooo many songs i liked. like some songs off all the albums but never more than half and hated liquid swords.

This is reality, alot of shyt i think is hot YOU HAVENT REALLY HEARD,and some of what you think is hot i havent fukked with as heavily as you have. However when you've never heard shoot `1st and it was one of the best (non-single) songs on a album that was huge that year. Not just commercially but on the streets. So many cars rolled by bumpin that shyt. Means u really wasnt giving nikkas a chance.

I like all types of sounds, just hate wack melodies and wack vocal performances. I love return of the boom bap,i think its better than any wu-tang solo

Never heard it. I remember it being critically acclaimed / but not producing any hits and coming and going. I could be wrong though

It got 4.5 mics but I thought it was underwhelming. I usually liked about 7 songs off each cmr album a lot.

I believe "I need a hot boy" was the single

That's fair. I hated Cash $ with a passion back then given how wack Ha was vocal performance wise. As Ive gotten older I'm not as stubborn. I've been asking for a link to 400 degreez for months now. I had no idea people thought it was a classic.

400 Degrees has the most good beats of any cash money album. The block is hot had the next most good beat.

Chopper city & Guerilla had less easy breezy fun tracks.

It went plat but lacked the big hit liken"ha", bling bling or back that azz up.

I'm telling you as a legit interested fan at the time I was let down by it. People from other cities seem to love it though.

Yeah but they aren't hot boys.

And the its all on u's had great beats but that predates the universal deal.

I can't at all recall "we on fire". I'm gonna unpack my CDs and have a cash money marathon.

I legit liked the Lil Wayne cd. The block is hot. He had a few songs towards the end that are fantastic Mannie beats.

2001 defined 1999. Hot girl was a hit. I'll give you that. But it wasn't nearly as big as the songs Mel listed.
