dude looked like he was being tortured half the time listening to these soulful classics.. talking about "I missed the mark culturally on this one because I was in 3rd grade when it came out" in regards to Guy's "I like" not resonating with him

..nikka im 15 years younger than you and know this song :stopitslime:

You seriously expected Peter. fukking. Rosenberg. To be hip on shyt like that? Lmao
If Hot 97 hired Rory even as the token white guy, he'd know more about rap AND R&B music black people care about than Rosenberg and Rosenberg has like a decade on him.

Whats worse is that most of us weren't "outside" when these songs dropped either.

We were raised on them, and thats why we know them.

Even black teens knew these songs

Rosenberg just isn't a member of the "culture"

Theres a wave of (or was :mjcry:) R&B parties that are ringing off in black cities on PURE nostalgia of these records and emotions.

Rosenberg wouldn't know what to do in there :heh:

And folks wonder why rap & r&b & even modern rock is the way it is now ... they made many people like him in charge of quality control.

Yes even some rock had soul up until the mid Aughts.

Edit: I got a PM from a poster telling me to clarify what I meant by "them" :beli: obviously I wasn't talking about Jews or whites cause I've known many who had "soul" growing up here in NYC but then again I shouldn't have to elaborate on it.

thats because cacs pick and choose what they want out the culture. Most cacs only want the rap aspect in its most stripped down form and everything else is disposable.
But theyve been made gatekeepers
Some of them appreciate that grimy poverty hard luck gutter shyt :mjpls:

not that black love shyt :sas2:

U had cats like DIGGY SIMMONS in there singing every word to these classics. He’s 23-24. Skaii Jackson is 17 or 18 and was in there singing every word. Rosenberg is a fukkboi and this should show Hot 97 something. He’s being EXPOSED something serious.

I mean he is the self appointed voice of the culture. He should be held accountable no?

Wasn’t Rory in a D9 in college :dead:
Yep. Dude pledged Kappa and worked at a few labels.

Not to mention his Joe Budden Podcast clout. Dude is official if you REALLY needed a white guy on the boards there. Plus that station is getting stale. And I think he JUST turned 30.

Time to show Rosenberg the door. He can go try and spin at WBLS or something.

We're good :picard:
