This is the beginning of the next game also so i wonder if they nerfed it. Maybe you have to recharge it back up throughout this game.

Im sure they nerfed it. At regular difficulties you can literally tank multiple hits from enemies and power through. I was fighting several sawtooths and powering through them as my armor kept me fresh. It was literally a battle of attrition.
