did you see my post talking about post traumatic slave syndrome? do you believe in that theory?
This is such an ironic threadI can agree with it but the only reason I can is because it's a stance that's considerably more complex
than saying "Hood mentality/Thug Culture/Lack Of Spirit/Hip Hop Culture" and stopping the discussion there.
I also want to point out that P.T.S.S. is at odds with what's being pushed in here and other threads by certain posters
so I got a chuckle out of who dapped it.
Wow a whole bunch of stuff I never said lol.I mean @7Revo has pretty plainly painted "The hood" as a place where people rob & kill others and aspire to nothing.
And if my post isn't clear enough, it's not the word that bothers me.
It's the idea that these issues spring up simply because people don't want to do better.
It implies that for all intents and purposes things are equal, the only problem is "hood minded" (black) people just aren't taking advantage of their situation because *insert right wing talking point here*
It wasn't "many posters", it's the same posters who toe the line and insinuate that some sort of nefarious street culture is
damaging African Americans. It's a view that implies that there is nothing else impacting these neighborhoods and the people therein.
I mean you're getting dapped up by a dude who attributes these problems to "Hip Hop Culture" while you're calling it "Hood mentality"
what's funny is Trump calls it a "Lack of spirit" and Geraldo calls it "Thug culture".
The naming changes but the rhetoric stays the same anyone with a pair of eyes can see this.
If you can't handle this then you won't be able to handle Ice Cubes "Us"You should be worried about semantics becuz they are what bodied your thread from the start.
Plus the fact that your music example was from a nikka whose a multi millionaire
who hasn't lived in the hood in years and recorded that song long after he got to that status.
You should've put something from Death Certificate. Or was that too hood
Did you think a thread title like I'm Sick Of Ignorant Black People was too harsh or was that title already took by @PhonZhi
For real tho you coulda just bumped one of his threads
This thread isn't for fun.Just having fun out here breh
I promised I mentioned this premise to people a few years back somewhere. Brehs directly or indirectly make moves in regards to women. Dudes were going to college because they were getting play back then like the 1960s to early 1990s.Hoes love hood nikkas and hood nikkas love hoes, change the opinion of the female and when men see they're not goin for the chains and drug dealing they'll get frustrated and eventually change their habits. It's really that simple, the women lead the community
I know that album from front to backWow a whole bunch of stuff I never said lol.
Sir you are putting a lot of words in my mouth
Could you please not do that.
If you can't handle this then you won't be able to handle Ice Cubes "Us"
Then if you can handle "Us" then you should of been able to handle thisI know that album from front to back
Its like he doesnt want to take any steps to go against white supremacy.@Insensitive is stuck in "victim" mode
Ok, we've long established that white supremacy/systemic oppression is the root cause of the black plight. Ok, now what?
and now that you know that what do you do next?Cats have that mentality cause they come from broken homes, are surrounded by horrific shyt, have depression and other undiagnosed mental illnesses, and have no hope. Literally just riding life until their own accepted demise. If you lived a fukked up no family having dysfunctional ass life you would understand. That "hood" mentality is basically a result of people who deserved better but were dealt nothing but painful shyt in life. Were all created not born.
How can you change the fact that so many are born into broken hopeless destroyed families in places that raise them up to outlaws. It just has to be accepted that is part of life you have to throw away American culture as we know it and just accept we need a new way of schooling, medical system, welfare system, college system etc. The change has to happen on every level possible and no one in any decent position is gonna accept that.and now that you know that what do you do next?
What should we do to solve this issue?
See now this is what Im talking about. How can you change the fact that so many are born into broken hopeless destroyed families in places that raise them up to outlaws. It just has to be accepted that is part of life you have to throw away American culture as we know it and just accept we need a new way of schooling, medical system, welfare system, college system etc. The change has to happen on every level possible and no one in any decent position is gonna accept that.
Hood dudes are almost like trailer trash dudes. Its all the same serious problems like poverty, drug addiction, etc and the American public has been fooled into viewing these people as a show to watch but not people who desperately need help. Middle class America doesn't view these people as Americans suffering but entertainment. For that reason its been going on generations and will continue to go on unchanged. Cats don't even realize how poverty stricken much of America is compared to any other developed county.See now this is what Im talking about.
We need solutions.
