i saw this in seattle in january. super funny and beautifully shot. there's one scene in particular that you NEED to make sure there are black folks around you in the theatre. i repeat. DO NOT go see this in a majority white theatre.

Just saw this yesterday, thought it was heavy handed and almost crossed the line into mocking at certain points.

I have no problem with the black church being the subject of satire but believers really have to use discernment especially with how faith is depicted in Hollywood.

Kind of disappointed in Sterling Brown and Regina Hall to be honest. Work is work I guess.

Me and my girl watched this in the theater on Saturday, it was packed with a bunch of mid age to elderly black women who i assumed thought this was gonna be a Tyler Perry type of movie... Their reactions were 100% funnier than the most of the movie
