:what: Hearns wasn't an embarrassment because he fought average at best fighters at Cruiser (which is a fukking deadzone division to begin with).

Being ranked doesn't mean much. There's alot of wack boxers that are ranked high. fukking Shannon Briggs is ranked 4th right now by the WBA. And he hasn't fought anybody! Chavez is ranked in the Top 5 in the SMW divisions by 2 organizations. Who the fukk has he beat at 168 to be ranked so high :mindblown: Beat Bryan Vera twice and just lost to Fonfora :dead: Rankings don't mean shyt

Yeah, but you said Hearns was 1 and done at LHW. He won the LHW title on 2 separate occasions. How can you say he was 1 and done at the division :mindblown:

Hearns was best at 154 and 160.

You obviously haven't watch Benitez. In his prime he was a great fighter. Mayweather ain't light years ahead of him, the difference between them in talent is marginal

:dead: @ Mayweather beating Hearns at 154. Earlier in this thread you said

Floyd can't make 154, yet you have him beating arguably the greatest fighter in that division :mjlol:

Hearns was ranked at cruiserweight which means he was active in the weight class you moron, Tito never campaigned about middleweight

Hearns is nowhere near the greatest 154 pounder, why because he beat 140 pounder and Duran who was moving up in weight lol

being ranked doesn't mean much

IT MEANS YOU CAN FIGHT AT THAT WEIGHT LIMIT and HAVE BEEN DOING SO

Floyd can't weigh at 154 pounds its a fact, but if he fought hearns at that weight limit he would still win coming at 152, and Hearns is not the greatest 154 pound by a long shot

Benitez is nowhere near floyd period, he was in his prime when he fought hearns he was 22 years old, and Hearns barely beat him, Hearns wouldn't be able to touch Floyd period

I brought the weight to show how their career paths were never on the same track, so talking about a fight between was dumb because the same age Floyd became a welterweight hearns was on his way to 160-168, why are you so retarded

Look I think Floyd beats Duran...idk if he wins or loses against hearns or SRL...but against Hagler..i see Floyd getting mauled to death. I think Hagler was everything ever needed to beat floyd reincarnated into a human form lmao big, tough, southpaw ,has a good chin and he got power...i dont see floyd winning that EVER.

Who are these Junior Middleweights better than Thomas Hearns? :dahell:

Only one that can be argued is Terry Norris...that's it.

You say "Hearns is not the greatest 154 pound by a long shot"....name these Boxers who are ahead of him at 154?:patrice:

Which is true but he does not get hurt very often, if at all. And if Hearns couldn't KO him I don't think Floyd can.
its not about koing. I swear Tyson ruined boxing smh

Tyson didnt ruin anything, im saying Floyd does not have enough power to keep Hagler at bay for 12 rounds.

147 Floyd doesn't KO anyone and he still wins very convincingly.

True but its easier to outbox and maneuver on his opponents at 147, he does not have the power to keep Hagler at bay for 12 rounds is what im saying, the issue isnt his knock out power, the issue is his ability to keep Hagler off of him.

Just because Hearns is a better overal fighter doesn't mean he's accomlished more at that weight

Hearns never natural 154 pounders his best wins, he beat benitez who was only great at 140 never accomplished anything at 47 or 54, and he beat Duran who started at 135, and he only had 4 fights at 154 before moving to middle. Hearns is a unique fighter who never spent too much time in one weight class and is a true pound for pound fighter

154 is one of those middle of the road divisions without much history, people barely hold and defend the belts

Terry Norris whole career as a light middleweight so of course he is the best 154 pounder of all time

but I would rank McCallum ahead of hearns at 154 not overall pound for pound, because he had 6 defenses to hearns 4

and behind Terry norris I would be Wrinky right who had 7 defenses and beat 6 champions

then I would beat hearns

I'm not saying Mcallum and Winky are better than hearns overall, they just did more at 154
