Honestly, how the hell is the 2-3-2 format really a home court advantage?

The format is inferior to the 2-2-1-1-1 regardless of people's motivation for pointing it out. 2-3-2 has also been on some shyt.

Yeah it is but not for the team with HCA as the OP tried to make it seem. 2-3-2 benefits the HCA team more than 2-2-1-1-1 which actually makes it harder on the higher seed.

if you are supposed to be a finalist.

you are supposed to hold court, simple as that.

it is the best format.....and does not give advantages.
like the ones setup for tv in the playoffs before the finals.

If the Finals was 2-2-1-1-1 OKC would be headed home to try to save their season but they would also have a game 6 in MIA waiting for them as well if they won. MIA on the other hand basically has to win this game or face the prospect of two game to decide the title in OKC as opposed to either winning it all in OKC or heading back home for game 6 in a 2-2-1-1-1. Seriously how does OKC not have an advantage? I'm sure MIA would prefer a muligan game in OKC over basically having to wrap it up on Thursday.

i have no issue with this format. As long as you hold home court and win one of the 3 games on the road, you're good

Don't know if this has been said but it's for financial reasons. Since they would be going from one coast to another, it's cheaper not to move team, help, and everything else 3 times instead of back and forth. I sincerely hate it, that said.

The finals will only be shown on Sunday, Tuesday and thursday. We caught a break in which the 2 days off come on travel days switching cities
