Honestly, how the hell is the 2-3-2 format really a home court advantage?

Chill out breh. :childplease:

I don't got beef with you. I'm a MAVS fan myself.

I just thought it was hypocritical to complain about it now, then last year when benefited the MAVS.

I aint mad bro.

Stuff doesnt travel well thru text. :to:

So they can split the first two games but the team with HC can't win 1 of 3 on the road? :rudy:

You can steal one on the road and then make adjustments and make it a short series so that the 7th game never comes into play. You go back on the road up 3-2.

Thats all I'm sayin :manny:

I know the Bulls had home court against the Lakers, but since they lost game one, are you counting them since they won all three middle games in LA?

Nope only teams that did not have homecourt advantage

I see where you're coming from though. I remember when this format bodied my Mavs back in '06

"One suit."

Once the Heat had the momentum going in the 3 games in Miami, it was over. 3-2 and closed it out in Dallas.

Though that series will forever be marred by horrible officiating for DWhistle

Man I was literally so  after some of those games I had to go for a run just so I wouldn't break anything around the house.

You got the best two teams in the league, more than likely they're gonna split the first two games,

Well, then they're also more than likely going to split the middle games 2-1 one way or the other, so it should come back.....right?

and no series is ever really won until the middle of it which gives the "lesser" team the real home court advantage.

You mean the home team can't win the series in two games? :ohhh:

Majority of the time ur not getting to a game 7 to make it really pay off.

...if the majority of the time you aren't getting to game 7 it doesn't really matter anyway.

If this series were 2-2-1-1-1.....the Thunder would still be down 3-1....and they'd still have to win a game in Miami to win the series.

I'd say it's still an advantage, it's just that it's much more harsh either way than the other format.

The penalty for dropping two straight is much more severe than it is in earlier rounds.

One dude said that they'd be down 3-1 still which is true, but they'd be down 3-1 and heading back to OKC instead of playing in MIA.
