Anyone who thinks their personal conversations should override hard data isn't a serious person and really shouldn't be posting in HL.
And lol at the idea that you drive by lots and keeping such careful track of which EVs have sold that you can compare it to other lots.
ON AVERAGE, the AVERAGE person is spending $49,000 on the AVERAGE new car. So all your blustering hyperbole is meaningless. I never said everyone can afford an EV. But you walked into the conversation claiming that automakers should just stop making them as if no one can afford them, and that's just stupid.
Like I said, only 4% of Americans own an EV, but 12% are seriously considering them right now and 43% more say they'll consider it in the future. That's some massive fukking market growth that will only add to the tremendous growth we've already seen. Within 10 years there probably won't even be any difference in the price point at all, and then you get the EV's saving you a grand a year on gas. Trying to shut down the market would be the stupidest shyt a car dealer could do.
Why haven't you addressed the 58,000 early deaths a year due to car exhaust pollution yet? You cared SO much about 5 people dying due to automated driving which has nothing to do with EVs at all...was that just a dishonest deflection or do you really think we should factor these deaths into the equation?
