The summer is flim purgatory....People get dumber in the summer and film reflects that.

Once people give more MONEY to smarter films then the studios will change their tune...but that won't happen because majority of the american populous doesn't want to think they want to escape.

Only 2 or 3 movies i'm seeing this summer...:snoop: worst draft class ever.

A lot more needs to be bolded on that list. I think Kick Ass 2 is gonna flop, This Is The End, Lone Ranger, White House Down, and Elysium. Those animated movies are the ones that sell like crazy due to parents wanting to have something for their kids to watch during the summer....but that Smurfs 2 shyt is gonna flop too.

kick ass 2 aint floopin sequel
this is the end too much star power
lone ranger even tho im not going see it and hope it flops dont underestimate disney and johhny depp
white house down maybe but channing tatum been on a roll
elysium you might be right but i hope not it looks one of those films thats real good but could get overlooked to smart for america district 9 had aliens so pople went in expecting one thing but got hit with piff

After Earth won't be huge, nor will The Wolverine (the first one was ass,) and Elysium wasn't made to be a blockbuster film, or if it is, it's blockbuster-lite. Lone Ranger probably won't do great, either, considering the amount Disney has put into trying to push it as its next franchise. It probably won't flop as hard as Prince of Persia, but it won't be anything like Pirates 1. Smurfs 2 will also probably not do that great.

after earth

So what type of movies would my brehs like to see done? What are some ideas would ya'll like to see explored. As for me I have a rather plain taste in movies so I am fairly satisfied with the crop of movies coming out and I plan on seeing them all. The problem with critics is that the movies they wanna see done are not made and when they are nobody goes out and see them. Who really want to see another time period drama bout God knows what.

I agree with all this. I want to see lone ranger though since i love westerns.. which also answers the question below. :obama:

Star Trek opens with 84M, the first opened with 79M. This one performed worse since the 84M was from Wed night to Sunday while the first opened on Friday.

They have to be disappointed by that, especially with FF6 and Hangover coming out next week.

i thought matt damon was gonna be a huge star..he really regressed after the bourne movies. now he's making movies about a zoo and shyt. i'm disappointed.

Matt Damon was a huge star in the 90's- early 2000's

Good Will Hunting
The Talented Mr.Ripley
Dogma
Ocean's Series
School Ties
Stuck On You
The Departed

The last bourne movie was in 2007.

Since then he's been a flop to me personally.. though i did enjoy The adjustment buruea and true grit(he was only a minor character).

I think elysium will be a nice comeback for him though
