Shady has the quickest cuts.
Charles is the fastest.
AD probably has the best blend of vicious style and agile cuts/jukes.
Forte and Le'Veon certainly no scrubs.

DeMarco isn't the best at anything. But he hits those holes and keeps his legs moving. Breaks tackles, and doesn't go down at first contact. I feel like theres something to be said about his running style, too. That shyt is demoralizing as a defense when our oline mauling them in the trenches and DeMarco comes running 20-25 times a game constantly trucking dudes.

I do think we could very easily draft/sign/promote a RB and get 1200 yards and 7 TDs immediately, barring injury.

But not the homie spraytan :to:

Our 2015 Cap Situation

Courtesy: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/cap/2015/

b8WkiSx.png

Our total salary cap hit is $138,161,908.
If the cap stays, we currently have $438,092 space. :pachaha:

Cap is projected to rise to around 141-142mil. So lets say we got about 3 mil to work with.

Immediately, Doug Free and Henry Melton jump out. People either forgot or don't mention that there were talks of drafting Zack Martin as a future longterm RT as soon as we drafted him.

Free could be gone. We'll eat a hit/hold, don't know what the figures are. Dead money for 2 years.

Melton can be cut, no hold or hit. If he's on the roster 1st calendar day of the 2015 Season, it triggers a $24mil/3yr extension. We essentially signed him to a 1 yr deal with a team option.

Melton gone. +$9,250,250

At this point, we have to talk to Carr about restructuring. As in we extend him a couple years so we can push money off the cap hit now and worry about it in 2018.
Cause that's what Jerry does :beli:

Dez can start taking his 12-15mil annual cap hit this year. It's inevitable, and 100% worth it. shyt will build to be 25mil+ cap hits in 2022 tho.

We can't really bring back Murray at anything more than a 4-5mil cap hit. Even if we restructure, we need to pay our rookies and sign some FAs.

I can't see how we bring Murray back unless we start cutting and restructuring MAD dudes, or he takes a steep discount.

What y'all think about a qb first 4 rounds? :patrice:

I would say 1st priority is a stud DT or stud linebacker...

Despite what we say about the defense, they were 2nd in the league in generating turnovers with 31...and I think 6th in the league with int's with 18...

And last year as bad as they played the defense generated 28 turnovers

All of that with almost no pass rush...

So despite what we might think the reality is that we have some ball hawking players on defense...you don't "luck" your way into 31 takeaways

So if we can get some players to actually consistently pressure a QB then we could legitimately lead the league in turnovers...would be nice to be able to consistently give our top 5 offense an extra possession or 2 per game...

So first two rounds I say we take the best DT or the best DE or the best linebacker on the board...

In round 3 if Bryce Petty is there and we don't take him I will be pretty pissed because I don't think for one fukking second Dustin Vaughn is the heir apparent for us at QB

We got lucky with Romo...as odd as some cowboys fans might think that sounds...

But do we REALLY want to press our luck and ride another UNDRAFTED qb and hope he turns out okay...

Line is to good and our best receiver is to good to be running around here with some undrafted dude...

Now if Bryce is gone then nah lets do something else...for QB's this draft I would say It's Winston, Mariotta, Bryce, then you really rolling the dice on what you get...

Ten years ago you'd said Romo wasn't the answer either. Unless you got some actual reason for why Vaughan can't be the answer outside of some pre season games I'ma need you to stop saying dude can't be the heir apparent. They kept dude on the roster all year and I doubt they would have done that just for giggles if they didn't see shyt from this dude so I'm willing to give him a chance and not just say dude from a known program is the answer. I also don't really like they new ass qb's that seem to play in them spreads systems. I think that's what Baylor runs but I could be wrong.

Garret byke. I don't mind marinelli staying because I think our guys like playing for him. Imma trust the minds we got in office to do the right thing I think they'll get it right

That's the biggest reason why I want him back...It's pretty obvious the defensive players love playing for him and having 2 years in the same scheme should help out a lot...

Regardless of we had gotten a better DC than general rod I doubt he would have ran a Tampa 2...so then we are pretty much pissing away an entire season because all the players have to learn a brand new scheme...

SO they value Demarco at 4 year 16 million dollars. I think that's fine IMO. Jerry and Stephen (including Jason for that matter) do not want another Marion Barber contract.

*edit* scratch that. Now I'm reading that's a low ball offer. I'm still weary of giving him a big contract though.

The actual reason is that the chances of getting one really good undrafted QB is pretty low...the chances of following one really good undrafted qb up with another undrafted qb is pretty much 0...from just a percentages standpoint it is almost a lock that Dustin Vaughn is not going to be the best QB we could have if we go over all of our options in the next 3 years...

I am a self proclaimed Bryce Petty stan and I honestly don't see why he never got as much pub as Winston and Mariotta did because dude cane make all the throws...yeah he runs a spread offense but it is a vertical spread and Baylor chunks that shyt down the field...

Also we don't really need anything on offense in this draft save for a running back and thats only if Murray leaves and we just don't sign anybody...we should be drafting exclusively for defense so yeah I wouldn't have a problem picking up Petty in the 3rd round where he should probably be our only offensive player selected

I feel very positive that someone will offer Murray at LEAST 20 million...even if it takes incentives to get their...

If 16 million is what they are offering the guy who led the league in rushing and rushing touchdowns then he is pretty much all but gone
