The Quality of life in the average NYC hood is much higher than the average Jersey hood. Jersey hoods is rough, Newark is how NYC was in the 80s and early 90s. I saw that a kid out in Newark got murdered and was selling crack at 15... its rough out there breh.
Union City seems to be a Jersey hood that's very NYC-ish, Kinda reminds me of Washington Heights.
Most NYC hoods have calmed down a lot. Only ENY, parts of Brownsville and Far Rock is still really rough like that.
With that being said, its kinda shocking that blacks priced out of NYC skip Jersey altogether and go to the southern states, I assume most black neighborhoods in Jersey still have a reasonable COL. If you live in North Jersey you can still enjoy NYC as it doesn't take that long to get to it

Congee Village on Allen St, really good authentic chinese food, used to be 10x better though, still great
Prosperity Dumplings - 4 dumplings for a dollar, best sesame pancakes ever, best dumplings
Xian Famous Foods on East broadway, amazing western chinese food, think lamb and cumin
Vietnamese restaurant on Grand and bowery, get the pho, the grilled pork, grilled chicken
Lucky King Bakery on Grand St has $3.50 lunch boxes of like 20 choices of meats over rice, and plus cheap dim sum
Buffet place on grand and bowery if you like variety

tolls up north are so stupid, to go from connecticcut to jersey is 7.50 and the same from ct to new york, fucc the north
The GWB, Goethals & Bayonne Bridges, Lincoln & Holland Tunnels, & Outerbridge Crossing tolls are going up to $14 in Dec 2014, and $15 in Dec 2015

Drove from NY to CT late night early morning on I95 and went through a few tolls average cost $16.5.
There was no traffic and the roads were terrible. Aren't the tolls supposed to pay for express way maintenance?

False, I've been there. It does have the largest population but it's not better than NY china

My company reimburses me for flights home, every month I go to southwest, go thru the screens of booking a flight and send them a screen shot of that last screen before you pay, looks official as fukk and I been doing this for 3 years. Probably can do that with hotels tooenlighten a nikka....
