You're trying to derail my point. I am not talking about the specific issues of BLM and trans rights. Though I used a real world example I'm actually talking about the governing logic behind people's behavior rather than the actual target of that logic. You could take the example I I said switch it to fat people or Muslims or a host of other differences between human beings have. It's still the same core logic.

If you buy this game J.K. Rowling a person who is against trans people will stand to gain from it as a person with ownership of that IP. That person uses their recourses and platform to attack trans rights. That is a fact. You trying to dumb it down to oh it's just a video game doesn't change that. It also doesn't delegitimize the fact that it's the exact issue they voiced on their forum in opposition to it. A purchase of the game whether or not you intend for it to supports a person who is against those people.

You can talk about slave labor or whatever you want. Doesn't change that point. Also why would they stop watching Marvel movies over Disney standing up to the government over Don't Say Gay? What kind of sense does that make? Disney was on their side DeSantis attempted to retaliate against Disney for it.

If you not talking about specifics then you shouldnt have used specific examples. Your governing logic is bullshyt because all you're doing is passing judgment, making assumptions and thought policing based off one singular purchasing decision. People did the same shyt with chik fil a, with chinese products, disney etc. Its hypocritical and has no basis in reality. && You're using pie in the sky logic to avoid getting into the specifics talking about derailing lol. If you have HBO MAX or buy any Warner products you're supporting her as well using that far off logic.

And i can tell you aren't well versed in the Disney shyt because before the public found out, they were openly financially supporting Florida legislators that were backing the Don't Say Gay bill. They only "retaliated" after the fact and there's no actual evidence they are even doing that.

Our entire society is built off the misery of others. The Amazon worker that pisses in a bottle due to the inhumane work conditions at their warehouse. I still shop at Amazon and I know that's how they are treated. Ultimately, even though I don't think they should be treated that way, I'm still contributing to their treatment by supporting the company that does that to them. It's also not my problem and doesn't impact me. Still I will continue to shop as Amazon as I'm not going to inconvenience myself for their betterment or even the idea of supporting them.

See it's not that hard to do. My iPhone is also made from some of the most inhumane conditions and treatment. Also knew that in advance of buying it and still bought it anyway. My dollars contributed to a feedback loop that supports the companies that does that foul stuff and ultimately whether I personally agree with it or not my actions contributed to their mistreatment.

I own both of those by the way. Don't have to lie to myself about what's really going on or use mental gymnastics to feel ok about it. Again not saying I think they should be mistreated just saying it's not my problem if they are as I'm not being mistreated nor am I willing to stop using those companies to stand against the mistreatment of others.

Its getting harder and harder to trust gaming outlets these days. I already see the preview write ups from these big sites having entire paragraphs dedicated to JK Rowlings.
