I wanted to be a goody two shoes and go Gryffindor but I can't deny my true calling.

It’s their message forum they can do whatever they like.

It’s kinda like how when all the black players in the NFL were kneeling for the anthem taking heat for doing so and for the most part none of the major white players would kneel. Deep down those white players were thinking “fukk that this isn’t my problem and doesn’t apply to me so I’m not doing it.”

No judgement but why not just own your own lack of empathy for others in this instance and move on? I can do it right now. I see why they do it. Doesn’t impact me so I’ll play the game and that’s that.

Additionally, she had nothing to do with the game directly besides copyright. A more apt comparison would be the Jerry Jones photo or the Don't Say Gay shyt with Disney. And as we can see none of them dudes over there stopped watching Marvel movies but wanna tell us to boycott Hogwarts.

You're trying to derail my point. I am not talking about the specific issues of BLM and trans rights. Though I used a real world example I'm actually talking about the governing logic behind people's behavior rather than the actual target of that logic. You could take the example I I said switch it to fat people or Muslims or a host of other differences between human beings have. It's still the same core logic.

If you buy this game J.K. Rowling a person who is against trans people will stand to gain from it as a person with ownership of that IP. That person uses their recourses and platform to attack trans rights. That is a fact. You trying to dumb it down to oh it's just a video game doesn't change that. It also doesn't delegitimize the fact that it's the exact issue they voiced on their forum in opposition to it. A purchase of the game whether or not you intend for it to supports a person who is against those people.

You can talk about slave labor or whatever you want. Doesn't change that point. Also why would they stop watching Marvel movies over Disney standing up to the government over Don't Say Gay? What kind of sense does that make? Disney was on their side DeSantis attempted to retaliate against Disney for it.
