This is one of the rare times where you're going to *have* to start with Hitman 2016. All three of them tell a chronological story. But yes, it is absolutely worth it. Just finished up in England (mission #2) and I'm trying very hard not to just jump ahead and finish all the story. Still don't have access to Hitman 2 levels, but that's the least of our worries on PC.

nah I’m passing...the main game I want to play (hitman 3) is only 8 hours and that alone is $60...I thought I had the first hitman but it’s only the base game which lets you do 2 practice missions...so I’d have to buy part 1 and part 2 which has turned into a very complicated process between deciphering what the legacy packs and GOTY editions contain...and they’re expensive...one is like $99 and it doesn’t come with hitman 3...it’s just part 2...plus I’m hearing there’s difficulty importing them anyway...plus the missions are done in episodes that are very quick to finish and for me I don’t really appreciate the replay “value” of killing the same person/doing the same mission multiple ways...I will definitely wait til the price comes down and they’ve worked out all the kinks and created a simpler process for buying all 3 games

yep...from my understanding it’d cost me $190 to play all 3 games on the PS5/XSX–
hitman 3 $60
hitman 1 GOTY access pass $30
hitman 2 gold access pass $100
...and the original games are selling full price if you buy them digitally so it’d still cost me $180 ($60 each for hitman 1-3)...if you have/buy the discs then the importing process becomes further complicated...and I’m not even feeling the previous games that much to be jumping thru so many hopes

H1 GOTY comes free w/H3, and H2 Gold is $20. Is that only on PC?
But I *definitely* agree if replayability is not your thing, wait until this game goes on sale.

ya unfortunately it is if you buy it from EGS...they’re giving deep discounts on the access passes for hitman 2 as well
much fukking cheaper to buy the previous games used but you still have to do some extra steps if you own physical copies...

...it’s the same process for xbox as well...it’s really annoying how complicated they made this to nickel and dime folks...just make a hitman 3 “gold edition” that comes with every location (hitman 1-3) via one purchase and just charge $99 for it...I would’ve easily bought it on impulse off that

How much does it really cost all together? I think I saw hitman 1 and 2 on sale in the PlayStation Store. I was gonna cop 1 and later cop 3 because I am currently playing 2 on PSNow.
Now thinking about it, I think I’ll probably have to cop 2 as well to get my data from the game and I don’t know if my data from 2 will transfer since I downloaded it from PSNow.
So what happens if I buy 1 and 2 on sale digitally, then I buy 3?
I just started playing this shyt and all this shyt they’re talking about is confusing me.
I thought it was just buy the games and beat them. Not all this transfer shyt.

the original games probably won’t be on sale digitally for a while so as to not undercut the price of the access passes...the thing is after playing the practice missions a bit more I started liking the game a bit...the story itself doesn’t seem that involved imo...it’s the type of game where I can just pick up do a mission or two here and there and put it down...these console prices are outrageous tho

I wouldn't mind that except I already own Hitman 2. EGS promised that PC players would have access to H2 and wouldn't have to pay, but they failed to mention that it wouldn't be available until...whenever the fukk it's available. Small gripe, of course, but still. I'm also tempted to buy that escalation package, but $30 for more of the same? I'll wait.
Some advice for those of you who are about to do mission #3 in Berlin (shyt I wish I'd known in advance)
- Kill the first guy you come across. Those of us who are doing Silent Assassin tend to choke out everybody, but this one is meant to be killed. The game just said to "eliminate" the guy. (Why I didn't equate that to murder, I don't know.)
- You will be tasked to kill 5 ICA agents after the first guy. It'll say "kill 5/?" There are 11 in all. If one of them is just getting on your nerves, go look for another one. I must've wasted a good 20 minutes following what I THOUGHT was the last agent only for another motherfukker to turn red.
- Do NOT waste your time trying to track down all 11 on the first try! Once the 5th one is killed, the rest will be ordered to evacuate.If there's an accomplishment for pulling off 11 kills, I haven't found it. There is one. Whether it can be done the first time, however, I have no idea.
