Big Hit more than likely killed off his chance at a serious career in west coast gangsta rap doing a whole project with The Alchemist at this stage.

He actually had a lot of talent for it but I guess Hit-Boy got impatient and wanted his dad to settle with being big in the nerd lane.

Huh? :dahell:

Alc has produced for Kendrick and Drake, you're talking as if he's El-p or some underground beat maker.

There was pretty much zero percent chance of Big Hit blowing up in any meaningful way no matter who produced his sh*t, anyway.

Big Hit actually did blow up before his went to prison. :dahell:

That hype died out by the time he came out. One of his recent albums you got to go to Bandcamp just to get it. The marketing has been less than subpar when you factor he's put out great music and even did a project with The Game. With proper promotion and strategy, Big Hit could easily have become a mid-level rap star.

Define "blow up".

He was never going to be a mainstream rapper at 40+, and he's 52 now. His best bet was going the middle aged street rapper route like Griselda. And Alc is obviously a go-to producer for that lane.
