Well I'm Pro-Black and I think marginalizing ANY group of Black folk because they don't meet a numerical cut-off is silly and dumb.

I know Africans who view AAs as Europeanized and no different than a White American. Distinguishing demographics is important.

AAs should be linking up with ALL Westernized Blacks. If you want to rightfully criticize mestizos then go for it but acknowledge your Black brothers and sisters trapped in White supremacy in Mexico.

Yes we do acknowledge black Mexicans but again we're not addressing them. The problem is people think Mexican is synonymous mesticos since they are the majority.

That's people the Mexican government estimates at having some African ancestors, not "black people" per se. The black populations of small islands Bahamas, Barbados, (you only list the smallest black Carribean countries, why? there are countries with 1 mill+) etc are the NORMAL profile in the country and undeniably black. Average Mexican--99+% population--is a Mestizo. We're talking about what 99+%/100 Mexicans look like (and with whom almost all Mexicans interact with), and interactions thereof as relates blacks.

I don't disagree with you but, I think there is more black blood in Mexicans than reported. A lot of them can easily pass for being mixed with black. Look at Darlene(ice-t ex wife). She looks more native american then black but she said growing up people would say she must have black in her because of her body shape and when she showed her grandmother, she was a black lady. When I was watching that blacks in Latin america documentey, the,guy in mexico said there is a saying in mexico that every Mexican has some black in there family, and I believe it. Even the guy the op's story is about looks like he is mixed with black. I think they are hiding something in mexico.

Well ignoring the fact that all non-black races(even some blacks) have bought into the concept of white/light skin supremacy isn't getting blacks anywhere either. It's not about arguing it's about acknowledging the truth regarding "Hispanics". Hispanic culture definitely perpetuates white supremacy. This is a clear example of that.

Mexico's afro-population would be the 6th most in the Caribbean. The smallest black populations would be 20k+ in the Caribbean, not 450k+. There are only 4 countries in the Caribbean with 1 million plus black people. Haiti, Jamaica, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

Again the Mexican tabulates them the afro mexican population as people with some African ancestors, they aren't "black" per se. They're Mestizos with some black, more than likely. So you can't count them in the same sense you would count black Carribeans, who are blacks. The real number of "Mexican blacks" is likely far lower than anything approaching 450k.
