What is crazy about Hip-Hop going so global is the sheer amount of posers and wannabe’s influencing the culture is at a monumental level. Never would you ever think that the culture could ever become this diluted. As much as I appreciate Hip-Hop going universal it also has many drawbacks. I’m not even just talking about Hip-Hop going across seas. Just the expansion of all cultures across all states, different regions, ratchet culture, etc.

Yep now Hip-Hop artists aren't dying broke in a gutter now that there is much more money in the genre

Older people in general refuse to accept change. I'm a man of cliches. I always say "Dinosaurs will die"

People have been screaming "hip-hop is dead" since the 90s.

I'm a Millennial and have accepted some shxt just ain't for me and is for the kids, but these Gen X and Boomers just can't fathom the world has moved on

The system :mjlol:

What you dudes are really mad about is that the masses don't consume the music you consume so now you are whining about a genre of music is dead

Hip-Hop is gonna be here tomorrow and 100 years from now, whether you consider it Hip-Hop or not is immaterial

"The Future is now old man"
I embrace change and still enjoy Hip-Hop that is being made all over the place nowadays. Speaking about the culture in general being diluted is merely fact. Watered down, filled with many outsiders. Just check social media and what the masses consume on a daily basis. It’s on overdrive. Embracing change and maintaining your sense of self is a great trait to possess. So many people think growth equals wholesale change. Humility is lost amongst the masses nowadays. Hip-Hop is engrained in many of us. God forbid we open our mouths out to call out the GARBAGE.

Hasn't been diluted, the people you would never hear from about their opinions on Hip-Hop can now be heard, what you want to hear is still there and what you want to be talked about isn't being talked about, the younger gen and masses don't care about what you care about. Open your mouth and scream to the heavens the world is gonna move on without you

The irony in this post. So called hip hop purist but all that you mentioned about drake is gossip and nothing to do with the actual music. All of that about Drake may very well be true but it doesn't change that fact that diss record wise and music wise Drake got his foot planted firmly on kendrick's neck and is up 2-0.

Maybe you should give kenny some help and DM him all the gossip you posted so he can include it in a response. Seems like he needs all the help he could get.
He has his foot planted “firmly on Kendrick’s neck” only if you’re one of those “I don’t like rap, but I like Eminem” type folks that haven’t actually been paying attention to the entire thing. Remember how during the Meek beef when food chains were tweeted their support of Drake? That’s what this is right now. Drake was actually JUST smoked by Rick Ross just days ago, as Drake couldn’t compete with that roast session given that he could only do (ironic) white boy humor. Notice the types of people that were rolling on the floor laughing at the Drake IG posts vs the ones who weren’t. Basically tells you all you need to know.

this only applies if kendrick doesn’t respond…

the fact that a mf that got pissed on by one of TI’s patnas (and didn’t do shyt but get up and walk away upset), punched by diddy, seeded up a chick in a 3-some (allegedly) and got bullied into claiming his kid, got treated like a flip by rihanna and publicly simped for her, got exposed for having other artists write his raps, has questionable relationships wit young women, paints his nails, and is the only mf that got his panties in a bunch over the control verse is touted as the GOAT is a disgraceful time in hip-hop…with that yachty reference track this nikka’s entire discography is in question to me…

drake convinced mfs that if you don’t listen to his music you don’t get p*ssy and mfs crafted their whole identity around that…

it’s ironic this is the most non-p*ssy getting generation in history smfh…

think you need to re-read…

maybe you can separate the person from the music and that’s cool…i can’t take a rapper i consider a lame seriously, especially when the validity of their lyricism is questionable…

It's been dead for years now though man. I treat it like a buffet and just stick to the guys I like and listen to what I fukk with. I have enough music to never listen to this newer shyt ever. Too much bullshyt when I look on the front page and just about every hip-hop page or channel. Everyone wants a piece of the pie so no one speaks on how trash this shyt been for years (at least the mainstream). I listen to old R&B and rap myself. I don't have time or the patience for all this goofy shyt. Yall got it.
