I read somewhere that Sean didn't know Kendrick was gonna do that wit the track...Kendrick sent his verse in last and they released the song anyway rather than it leaking...I heard Jay Elec wasn't too happy about it either...why would Big Sean purposely leave it off his album?..yet release it RIGHT before his album drops?...and his excuse for not putting it on the album was terrible and flat out untrue...he was tryna save face like a muhfukka...u had cats Cam for instance straight shyttin on Big Sean for lettin that rock...
sounds like a lot of hearsay and he said she said. At the end of the day Sean released the track after he heard it. Your whole point about it being fukked up is silly when (if what you say is true) he sent his verse in last meaning they had the track without him and could've just released the original version.

I'm gonna have to call :duck:until you drop some links anyway

There was really no point for him to name drop them like that...he didn't even bother to clear shyt up right away when he felt people got the "wrong idea"...he let the whole shyt just fester and the verse didn't even have a means to an end...plus he switched his story up on why he wrote the verse and how it came about like 2 or 3 times...most of the nikkas he mentioned helped him or showed love one way or another...he knew the reaction he would get for that shyt...
People got the wrong idea because they are sensitive and stupid. Rap is a competitive sport. Kendrick falsely assumed his peers could handle the game and most importantly get the point.

When ball players get on the court they can shyt talk each other n compete and give their all but remain friendly. Rap nikkaz are divas and cowards.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Willing to bet it's jealousy. You never know, he might've said some slick shyt and done some questionable shyt behind the scenes, but being real... Out of anyone popping right now, who's albums are getting the Universally Acclaimed stamp? :manny: Matter fact, it's the same reason why I also hear through the grapevine they want Drake to fall too, even more than Kendrick.
Drizzy does some sneaky shyt behind the scenes I heard...but it does seem like he does look out and show love...I never really seen Kendrick go out of his way to prop up his peers like that unless asked...aside from maybe Cole...

Yea..rap is competitive..but how fair was it that whenever someone had a response they got shytted on for it?..or a swarm of muhfukkas was coming in and tryna baby Kendrick...I didn't even have a problem wit what he said..it was the lose/lose situation the people he mentioned were put in that was corny...the fuc k kinda competition only lets one person compete?..I feel if he was man enough to say what he said...he should be man enough to handle the reaction on his own...the shyt ended up coming off as a publicity stunt...

Oh I def feel u...I'm just pointing out and adding to what dude wrote about the industry not fukking wit Kendrick like that...it's completely obvious...dude wasnt featured on shyt with any of his peers since that ordeal...his whole hiatus been like that for the most part...

This also could be one of the things that got him depressed too, when you think about it. He DID say he was depressed by fame, so you never know. But really, it is what it is. And I don't like to make the comparison, but... being real if Pac was alive, he would've went way further. And it's not like he had the most friends in the industry, he took shots at everyone. His peers can't do shyt, cause if Kendrick goes onto become a GOAT, they have no control over that... the fans and the culture itself decide that. And the culture is currently saying, he's the next one up. :yeshrug:
That's really all there is to it. They could've pulled the rug under him, but nobody managed to. Now he's 3 albums deep with a Legendary tag.

Sounds to me like you have a problem with rap fans. That's a whole other argument. All people said was they wanted to hear from the people named not every random rapper

I think meek responded but who else?

Point remains it wasn't a diss. It wasn't even remotely insulting. Idiots can't comprehend simple shyt. Why should dude sit there and spoon feed them the meaning behind the verse? It was just a call to step bars up. Instead all we got was sensitive bytches whinning.

This is true, and I like Drake for that. But I think it's Drake's way of making sure those artists DON'T do what Kendrick did. On some "I shouted you out nikka, you'd be a nobody if it weren't for me." Can't really work for Kendrick tho cause he already had a buzz well before Drake put him on a tour and on the Take Care album.

drake's reaction was the worst. talkin bout he gon tell his rap friends to not fk woth kendrick anymore....:mjlol:

dude is the epitome of a sensitive cornball...

the only place i can see people being resentful at kendrick and it being maybe justified is the critical acclaim he gets, and as much as i believe he deserves it, it is denied to some of his peers who also deserve that kind of love.

J cole, lupe etc are cats who never get that kind of critical acclaim even though they work in the same ballpark. i used to see the same shyt with kanye . kanye would do something that another rapper did, but kanyes would get love, the other rapper would get dismissed.

like kanye's materialism etc, something critics always beat up on rappers for, but when kanye did it they would say it was complex or complicated which is bs. its just the same materialistic talk. so i guess the resentment might be from kendrick being a teachers pet type dude, through no fault of his own by the way.

should have read this post before i gave my response cause you covered a lot of what i felt as well. the critical community protects kendrick. i personally feel he desreves the acclaim cause he is THAT dope to me. but they definitelt shyt on everyone else on some "there can only be one" type nonsense.
