KTL was able to take a smorgasbord of topics and remain healthy....whether it was mainstream news, alternative viewpoints, educating one self in this or that subject (free university courses, etc)......why would yall want to break that up???
.....
its all knowledge and learning........hell I got tired of seeing all the posts on religion every 20 seconds, and I expressed it....but I wouldn't conceal, merge, or push to the side every thread topic on different aspects of religion b/se I felt it was too overwhelming.......thats ridiculous.
Conspiracy theory is just an alternative veiwpoint from the popular perspective......sometimes its quite accurate, factual, and proveable, folks just refuse to consider it or will ostracize the POV, b/se of what it means when they face the fact that it does hold water........................sometimes, a conspiracy theory is an alternative viewpoint, thats difficult one way or another to prove at all..............have no issues with the "CTs thread" thats up here.....but they are so broad and diverse, why would yall want to just put everything in there or in a subforum?????
If its a major news story, I understand when there are 3 - 4 threads on the same news story by different posters, then maybe that is perfect time to merge things.....
Lets respect our 1st Amendment, or whats left of it......and
let people express themselves.........there plenty of room for all various forms of knowledge acquisition, dialogue, and debate in this Higher Learning forum.......Bar None's idea was good, but
"Sticky" is the action word here, just put it at the top of the forum page for a topic like that.....you don't have to discredit or separate other arenas of knowledge, just to get another topic popular.
If anything, there needs to be a campaign to encourage other posters to come in here and post that usually skip over the KTL/Higher Learning forums........I would say make a thread in those other popular forums asking
"Why They Don't Post in the Higher Learning Forum?"....
