Lowkey I kinda did lol, that's why i stopped being so harsh on it. I feel like i stay around the same Bf% as i was when i was cutting too. I used to be like :why: at brehs like Berkhan staying cut while eating cheesecake and shyt. I dunno man, transitioning from bodybuilding to traditional martial arts is kinda tough simply because you have to remodel your body and movement and that means losing some mass. I think @Blackking is doing a little bit of bodybuilding with his MA and he can tell you it's a pain :shaq2:
:guilty: Yeah that's just a symptom of them working out at a super high elite level intensity, fortified by an extremely efficient and fast metabolism. I'm not well versed on the physiological effects of performing in a competing sport yet, so I won't speculate on the processes at play, aside from burning calories at an excessive rate and limited range of motion which inhibits flexibility and speed due to weight training,,,

It's mostly about neural adaptation tbh. You're training your body to move and operate in a specific way comfortably, then building for physical qualities within that framework. But even so the process and practices arent the same, even across quality martial arts and inside individual sports :ehh:

This study is so fukking flawed I don't know where to start :snoop:

Here's the actual study -

http://www.cell.com/cell-metabolism/fulltext/S1550-4131(14)00062-X

:lupe:

Obviously further study is needed, but I'm not going to dismiss the study just because I don't necessarily like the results. That said, it goes without saying that correlation does not equal causation.

they lose credibility by exaggerating the findings of some of these papers

example 1(first one I clicked on)
they claim this paper (amongst others) says that thc cures brain cancer, it does not say that; It can't say that. it is a pilot study, marijuana was not smoked, only 2 patients immunostained were reported to show a decrease in tumor cell proliferation

good to see we're actually breaking down studies in the HL now

Straight straight, that's still a good range. Deadlifts and squats are definitely the way to go in regards to weight training. Yeah a mile is nothing to me, but a lot of cats who mainly weight train can't, which I find problematic within itself. :smh:

Man what I tell you about cutting carbs. That shyt is counterproductive, especially in regards to weight training. You can still lose weight / gain weight / muscle / mass etc by eating a steady supply of carbs. The RDA is like 300grams per day. I've only suffered from fatigue when attempting a low carb / high fat diet.

:comeon: you should have immediately recognized this
Lose weight / being more cut up = lower calories and low to medium intensity cardiovascular exercises(martial arts / jogging / power walking)
Gaining weight / gain mass = more calories and high intensity cardiovascular exercises( martial arts, sprinting, weight training)

And he's spliff's log: http://www.thecoli.com/threads/my-ud2-experience.12646/

Dude is an inspiration. It would have been like 10x as sweet(pause), if dude was previously overweight or something...
It's horrible...

I'm not going to say I gave up.... I just refocused.. focusing on lean muscles, but still building muscles. Not focusing on bulk muscles and being strong.

The strength comes along anyway -with any type of weight training and eating some protein. I take the shakes because I don't really eat red meat, and hardly any meat.

Plus the cons of bulking up, outweighs the pros... like running, flexibility and speed... At least in my lil 2 year experiment... that shyts not worth it.. you can still look sorta big by doing shyt that builds ur shoulders and calf, lol..

I have an iron gym pull up bar... you do that every other hour at your house you'll look great.

Honestly on average I probably get around 80-110g of protein daily...

Most people do intake far too much protein, especially those who work out...

The general rule is .8g / per lbs

Pathetic :mjlol: Humans only need 40-50 grams a day, no matter your weight. God damn, Coli and these fake ass nutritionists :heh:

Dieticians and nutritionists :flabbynsick:

Theres a difference between exercise nutritionists (far more varied) and just standard nutritionists who help you prevent disease and maintain normal bodily function.

:whoa: :whoa: :whoa: I don't endorse "nutritionist" because anyone from a diploma mill can self prescribe themselves that name, but dieticians come from reputable four year institutions which are backed by the The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics: http://www.eatright.org/

It was more of an indictment of nutritional science right now, but yea dieticians are useful in hospitals and shyt for sure.... Most of them just tell you to basically just eat real food like you should be anyway tho :mjpls:
