aww man i didnt even say much about the show.

the footage was str8 this episdoe personified the '90s better than any other ep thus far.

great show. instantly, this is up there with the best eps.

only 3 things were missing:
1.) Pooh wasnt on the show. hes the main one i wanted to see.
2.) they didnt mention treston irby getting shot 5 times.
3.) they didnt play the radio interview where tony & treston were arguing over the phone, back when tony came back & ran with the hi-five name.

I feel ya, maybe he was just slept on then. Im more so speaking as a stan hehehe.His self titled album made some noise too. BET were pushing him and Jon B heavy in 95/96. I could see Jesse not having an Unsung but Jon B should have one.

ehh. jon b doesnt deserve an unsung either.

unsung isnt for underrated or dissappearing artists. its mostly for acts that were huge but their legacies tend to be understated.

for what its worth tho, i wouldnt be too surprised if jon b gets an episode of "life after" somewhere down the line.

i put it like this. the benchmark is pretty much names like karyn white & adina howard. they didnt get unsungs. they got "life after".

edit: yea i know BBD got a "life after" but they really dont count. plus they got a whole hour.

I always thought Tony Thompson and dude that played Carlton on The Fresh Prince could've been brothers. These cats made some damn good music tho. Too bad they got caught up in the pitfalls of the game. They did dude dirty trying to doc his advance for some shows he missed when they probably already split his share for those missed shows.

yea. listening to hi-five always makes me want to watch the fresh prince of bel air.

this song right here especially makes me want to watch a mid-90s episode. i can seriously see carlton dancing his ass off to this. and i can see ashley singing over this beat on stage at the peacock.

this was one of my jams that summer.

i didnt know teddy riley produced this. makes sense cuz the bul rapping on the other version sounds like whoever did the raps for blackstreet(prolly a member).

morris day definitely will have one. he posts here too.

musical youth was bigger than 702 and had a controversial story to tell.

i use the top "life after" artists(not counting BBD) as a barometer. if karyn white & shirley murdock dont get an unsung, then i cant see 702 & alot of these other names getting one.

i'd love to see 702 get that one hour special. i can at least say that theyre borderline and it helps that meelah is currently a tv-one star.

"this is how we do it" alone is bigger than jon b & 702.

honestly, i was surprised that they did one for montell. he definitely deserved it, but he always seemed like somebody that they would overlook. funny thing is, thats what half the show was about.
