Here you got Dave Prazak promoting these shows with his intentions being that he wants to show female wrestlers on a more positive platform than what they've been portrayed in for years. None of that eye candy divas stuff. How are we supposed to buy any of that when...
A) From top to bottom on the card, the matches either range from sloppy botch-filled brawls to comedic spots. How is that better or worse than WWE's diva division?
Let's talk business...let's see. Sloppy? Nah...some of the newer girls aren't as refined as those with great reputations and proved track records like Athena, Kana, MsChif, Hamada, Lady Destroyer, Melissa, Madison Eagles, Jessie Mckay, etc. But they get there pretty much..the progression is MUCH, MUCH better than what you see in the E. Proof? Look at Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres. They were there for years and didn't even have the ability to put on two star matches. A complete embarrassment to the business and the industry as a whole really. This girl in NXT named Paige? She's Britani Knight..got over big by the end of her Shimmer run but then again she apparently gets over no matter where she goes and she's only 20 fukking years old.
B) The two-three year effort into trying to build someone like Portia Perez to be your top heel. A girl who can't wrestle her way out of a paper bag, and is more prominently known for being a comedic wrestler in Canada.
Portia Perez's strength is on the mic. She tore open Serena pretty good when she clowned the Diva's division and her shaving her head for money and for less integrity. Her partner Nicole Matthews, who has NO ASS whatsoever and is pale AS fukk, is the true ring talent. She could go with any female you can think of in any promotion..Japan, the States, Mexico, or Europe.
C) The majority of the people they draw to their shows are the same creepy, perverted men who've been attending since the first show. Dudes like him:
That's a goofy guy but I don't see those types as regulars. They must be those desperate Johnny types that be going to their little dinner get togethers in the Chicago area. More power to them for being simps and not getting ANYWHERE near a SNIFF of those panties. Let the idiots dream and play themselves. I see it enough on Amazon anyway.
D) These girls shamelessly not caring that they're attracting the attention of these weird dudes since some have been known to take advantage of that by selling their used undergarments and wrestling gear to them after shows. I'm looking at you Lacey, Rain, and Daffney. Y'all ain't no different from divas.

'Sides, only time that dump was ever good as when they had Awesome Kong squashing bytches every time she was booked, and Sara Del Rey carrying everyone they pitted her against. But other than that, SHIMMER is lame ass attempt at emulating joshi wrestling, and a lot of their roster is godawful. MsChif included. I gotta judge his RVD love, but OP totally accurately described how bad she was based on all the matches I've seen from that overrated Hot Topic clerk.
Kong was a special talent but Rebecca Knox was as good, if not better, than Del Ray. Lacey was always her equal. Everyone knows Melissa can carry anyone to something decent. Del Ray fell off for awhile as Champion and when she went over Kong by DQ in that title match, they turned on her heavily two shows later in a str8 face off with Melissa in that tag match. She couldn't even handle it. It was kind of sad really.
Overall...don't play yourself and act like some of the bytches you see on the E didn't come from Shimmer and haven't went through them. When Serena was on television, all you nyggas were propping her to no end. She got noticed because she stood out in Shimmer. Nattie is the same way. You think a LOSER like Gail Kim was gonna come in and make an impact after that run in TNA where she was carried by Kong? Of course not. She's lazy...she botches like no one's business and has NO fukking speaking ability. An Asian American chick from Candada in her 20s with no speaking ability by now? EXTREMELY sad.
All that's left now is a thread shytting on Michelle Branch's cheekbones and all this nikkas weird obsessions will be under the microscope.
