Marvel lifted the spoiler ban for Endgame so I’m not gonna use a spoiler tag. Spoiler alert for Endgame if you haven’t seen it yet.

I liked Endgame and we knew they were gonna undo the snap, but they changed the rules of time travel to make it so you can’t change your past (but then they broke that rule with Captain Americans ending but that’s another topic).

Instead, they brought back half the population, billions of people, to the present day after five years. Five years. That’s a long time! People moved on and formed new relationships, there’s a new social order, it’s a whole different world that has adjusted permanently in some ways and suddenly billions of people drop back in on it. Can you imagine how much chaos that would bring?

Sure there would be some positive reunions but millions, if not billions, of people would have moved on with their lives. The entire world made lasting changes on the assumption that those people were gone forever. New government officials, new laws, everyone still alive aged five years, you can’t just undo that and go back to before. Most of the vanished probably don’t even have any possessions/money left after so long so they’re about to start their whole lives over. What happened with social security? Grocery stores and food producers adjusted to lower demands worldwide and suddenly billions of people need to eat. Yikes.

Speaking of possessions, how in the world did Hawkeye’s wife call my dude right away? I know it was meant to be an emotional scene and I liked it but you’re telling me he’s been paying that phone bill for five years while chopping up yakuza gangsters and saying he’s lost all hope??? Actually he seems like the type of guy who had an automatic monthly payment so I can see that.

Any zombie movie: their bodies were decomposing and yet their hearing (arguably the easiest sense to destroy) still works.

yeah not to mention how things changed with limited tax income and things like policing food logistics etc.

Parents who were snapped come back to find their kids dead or missing because no one cared for em. There are tons of missing as it is right now imagine after the snap.
I assume unborn babies were snapped with their pregnant moms otherwise yikes

Buffy the Vampire Slayer wanting to be like everyone else. Her town is located on a hell mouth and 'everyone else' is a walking juice box to vampires and demons except her because she is the slayer.

Also...

The season after her mom died, Buffy, while going to college and killing demons, had to work jobs to continue to pay her mom's bills but The Watchers a body of people whose job it is to oversee and train the slayer could've easily supported her financially with all their resources.

But Watchers were already established as elitist dikks that were very narrow minded when it came to the supernatural. They even fired Giles at one point because he formed a bond with Buffy, cuz Slayers are just tools to destroy evil

They handled Faith all wrong and it drove her to evil. Not a stretch that they'd be petty with Buffy if they couldn't put her on a leash. They'd scoff at having to pay her bills

If you watched Angel, you find out they shyt on him and his team even though they're doing good through missions from the PTB.

Look at Wesley he becomes MUCH more competent without them. That's why they got fukked in the ass by The First.

I think they also explained it that Buffy got mad at the Watchers for firing Giles after her 18th Birthday Trials so she quit the council and told them to go fukk themselves hence why she did everything on her own with help only from her Scooby Gang, Angel and Giles.

I said the same thing when I saw Urkel and Eddie going to the same college as well as Screech going to the same college with Zack (Morris Is Trash) and Slater.

I also baffled when the ultra smart loner characters are STILL around after they graduate high school and go to college. It's no reason why the smart girl from Modern Family and Bud Bundy from Married With Children were still hanging around and living with their family that always annoyed them and they never gave a shyt about... maybe that's just me.
