You wouldnt stop and have a conversation with an ant would you? thats why contact is unlikely, if there is a life form advanced enough to travel here many light years, or from other dimensions or universes even. they would probably view us as ants...

Let's quote another human's logic to make assumptions about what an alien race would/has done when discovering us.
I mean he's a genius, but he may be down playing the significance of our 1% difference. To come on the backend of that comparison between us and bugs and assume that 'they' wouldn't try to communicate is shortsighted to me.
'They' probably would at minimum study our culture, our instincts, and our habitats. Also, because the levels of their "innate thinking" (their infants learning relativistic physics like ABC's), would be to a level that we more than likely can't begin to understand the conscious and unconscious expectations that would be leading them to observe us in the first place.... we shouldn't assume sh1t about it.
