Here's why the idea of "Alien Contact" is stupid.

You can damn well bet if we humans COULD go all across space, we would. So who's to say something else out there isnt more advanced than us.

My only thing is, if there are aliens, I dont believe they have ears like us, eyes like us, etc.

People only attribute to aliens human attributes, which to me is kinda silly.

I'm not saying there's no aliens out there, i mean space is relatively infinite, there's prolly some shyt atleast crawling around eating dirt or something.. but I'm talking about flying saucers and what not. Here's a series of doubting points for you nikkas rocking the #TinFoilKufi



1. From what we know about space travel, shyt is extremely far away, so far that you'll die of old age before you get there... but lets say aliens done figured that out

2. If their technology is good enough to get them here, why we acting like they just gonna start talking to us now? Technology is exponential, but our human existence here has been short, and with less than 10,000 years of solid history compared to a planet* 4billion years old? Our slice of time is too small, probability of contact now is implausible

3. Lets say they bored tho and see our planet lit up artificially on its dark side.. I'd love to believe in a peaceful alien, but that would not justify them travelling lightyears just to say "what up!". If they know about us, chances are they already have a hand in everything we're doing, first contact has happened, and the truth will never be 'discovered'

And lastly

4. Earth is boring, we're finding out there's diamond planets and shyt. Real kryptons, the fukk would anything want to fukk with earthlings for

I would disagree with you on if first contact did happen everyone would know about it and they would not hide. they travel across the universe but they are going to hide in the sky and secretly manipulate our lives.

This would lead one to believe we live on 'rare earth' and that somehow we have a material in abundance that they dont have, even though we're constantly finding planets that have everything we have and more. Makes even less sense to come here and deal with the hassle of snagging it from humans where there's billions of other planets un touched and waiting to be mined.

How many planets have we observed? Now how many planets have we observed on which sentient life exists? Make no mistake, Earth is indeed a very rare planet, just by the fact that we're on it. Humans may not be special, but life in the universe (by our observations) doesn't seem to be a common thing.

And there's huge fundamental difference between making a skype call and breaking the speed of light... not as subatomic particles, but as a living being. But you're right, they could see us and be spying on use right now, scooping out theyre next home planet... right... cause they didnt notice us for all the 4.5 billion years the earths been around, we just popped up on their radar..

all those movies usually have the same premise if it has to do with them coming to earth.
9 times outta 10. said aliens(whites) ran out of something where they are from. and earth(all people of color) is sitting on said resource that the aliens(whites) need/desire. the aliens(whites) dont try to negotiate a method of trade. they just come thru slapping everyone around, and take the resource with no questions asked.

you do realize a lot of so called "natives" meaning people who are indigenous to the land you found them on. have a different take on resources then european whites.

these people usually have an abundance of resources. which means they have no reason or desire to go some where else and take someone elses resources. they usually have an idea of nature that stats they dont OWN the resources that are close to or within their territory. what they do think is. since they are close to it or its in their territory then they are to be managers of said resource. you will be the same over whatever is closest to you or within your territory. and you trade that resource for another resource. you dont come thru trying to take it all for yourself as if it belongs to you as if its some type of devine destiny. when it isnt.

again what makes you think aliens will have the mentality of european whites.

How would that be unlikely? If they got here and started talking to us, theyd have to deal with dividing the unison of humanity on whether or not we should be talking to them. Undoubtedly, theres gonna be some guy with rockets saying shoot them out the sky... and even if he couldnt do it the opposition would try to war and get our planet stepped on. Seeing as they could run us with little or no hassle compared to getting here, why not manipulate us to the max, which would be the path of least resistance if we had something of interest.

If life is so special, and we're like a couple decades out from cloning (just looking at the rates of tech), why wouldnt they be able to clone or create their own humans? Prolly even better ones that dont get disease or something. Again, they'd need us for nothing they couldnt already do.

Even further too, there's tribes of people on our own earth.. people with equal genetics and capabilities as us that are being watched from helicopters and satellites just to maintain there pure existence outside of modern civilization. That's quite alien of us

I agree with the threadstarter. The "bigger" the universe gets in my opinion, the less likely we will make contact. Billions of stars, billions of planets and billions of years. But for some reason we act like we just have to wait and its only a matter of time before we see something..

If aliens were out there I think it would be pretty obvious already. It wouldn't depend on our short human timeline...

You're adding the sum of a bunch of highly unlikely events when you're supposed to multiply them. Flipping a coin twice means you have a better chance of getting a heads.. but flipping a coin twice and getting two heads is a drop in the odds.

Chances of them being intelligent, having future tech, travelling galaxies, wanting to speak to us, and caring about our old ass planet all of sudden compounds to one extremely improbable event.. which is why i rationally doubt it.

the only thing that would interest them is us or our planet. And if they mean to take over or eat us then we would know about it. You don't travel this far unless you want something so either they are curious and want to meet other forms of life or they want to eat us. Slavery would not make sense because if they have the tech to travel the stars then having slaves is irrelevant.
