Here's why the idea of "Alien Contact" is stupid.

I'm not saying there's no aliens out there, i mean space is relatively infinite, there's prolly some shyt atleast crawling around eating dirt or something.. but I'm talking about flying saucers and what not. Here's a series of doubting points for you nikkas rocking the #TinFoilKufi



1. From what we know about space travel, shyt is extremely far away, so far that you'll die of old age before you get there... but lets say aliens done figured that out

2. If their technology is good enough to get them here, why we acting like they just gonna start talking to us now? Technology is exponential, but our human existence here has been short, and with less than 10,000 years of solid history compared to a planet* 4billion years old? Our slice of time is too small, probability of contact now is implausible

3. Lets say they bored tho and see our planet lit up artificially on its dark side.. I'd love to believe in a peaceful alien, but that would not justify them travelling lightyears just to say "what up!". If they know about us, chances are they already have a hand in everything we're doing, first contact has happened, and the truth will never be 'discovered'

And lastly

4. Earth is boring, we're finding out there's diamond planets and shyt. Real kryptons, the fukk would anything want to fukk with earthlings for

Face it brehs, we are alone in this one. Star wars is not gonna pop off.

Far away in OUR standards...this is a whole other species we're talking about, their outlook on EVERYTHING could be different....

Maybe it has been established already...we all know we can't trust the "powers that be"...Who knows what their hiding...

Who can justify any of their reasoning? Gotta remmeber these ain't other human beings we're talking about...again, they might not look at things the same way as us; their whole thought process could be completely different...

Just my personal take....

1. Far away is still far away no matter what. Excluding the idea of immortal beings (just to simplify things), a light year will decay any life form till the point of death.

2. I agree with you here, cant trust our governments for shyt. They lie all the time

3-4. I just dont by into friendly alien conquest. Even at the most atomic level of existence, there's always an exchange that drives things to happen. Anything able to travel this far has nothing to gain by fukking with us. I would assume there would be some sort of resource worth harvesting, we dont know.

Chances are, anything we make contact with out there is gonna rape the fukk out of us humans, lets be forreal... luckily what ever it is dont care about us

I always laugh of the idea of contact anyway. If a race is advanced enough to get here...and make no mistake about it, it takes technology unheard of here just to get to the nearest star system...then they will look at us as inferior and not worthy of their time. Invasion movies have it right. The resources here on Earth may be the only real reason they come. Look at our own human history. Europeans discovering the new world and Africa/Asia and completely decimating the populace through superior weaponry and seeing them as inferior. Humans one day may even be the invaders of some backwoods alien species. Why go through all the hard work just to be peaceful?

We only been technically advance for 100 years, and im talking about being able to light up our sky. Unless they flying around aimlessly, nothings even going to see us for a long long time...

And you raise a good point, lets say we get a super telescope and can get google earth street view of another planet, we'd be looking into the past.. Thousands of years of technical advancement on top of the exponential growth of intelligence means you don't wanna fukk with them

Mannn, i'm willing to bet on an intergalactic resource race. Undoubtedly, whatever has the means to travel will need to build more shyt they travelling around on... and unless they flying around in energy boats, they'll need materials

who else has ran thru every civilization just for the purpose of hi-jacking their resources because their own was very scarce?

the truth is, all the alien movies we've grown up watching. were made by white people. who know how white people think, have been throughout history. this is why they depict aliens like that. the alien is THEM-WHITE people coming to conquer and take over due to some resource they dont have and you have that the can steal.

What if there is "intelligent" alien life? But what if they are dolphins? We can't communicate with them anyway. They don't talk but have brains and all. We can't glean anything from dolphins in outer space. Squeek squeek. Oh okay, you like me. Thanks.

What if these aliens are like humans? But, what if they are living like we were in medieval times. No radios. No electricity. They have brains, talk to each other and kill with swords and arrows. No space ships or computers. And so what if we send out a spaceship to this planet? Communication to that planet and back is almost impossible.

How are you all saying... because we must be inferior that they wouldn't bother or it wouldn't be worth it for them to make contact with us??

First off, we may be different. We don't know what they are, what they would look like, how they think, etc.. so if they discover us then it's possible that they would at least want to examine us and our planet.

Second, we examine, explore the habitats, and "make contact" with less intelligent organisms, who are less advanced than us right here on Earth. So wouldn't another race of people do the same to a creature on an entirely different planet.

If another planets inhabitants wanted to come here and had the capabilities to do so; I'm sure they would be able to detect us through means besides us 'lighting up our sky' for them to see.
