I don't think he was trying to demean Ali or his record at all. He was giving some reasons as to why he feels he is better than who most people believe is the best.

Nowadays (more so than ever) we (people in general) pick apart everything, everybody does with a fine tooth comb but those "Heroes" from the "Glory Days" can do no wrong.

I like how Floyd is comparing Ali coming off a 3 year break fighting an undefeated(at the time) top 5 heavyweight of all time Frazier, to himself coming off a 2 year "vacation" fighting Manny's leftovers(JMM) trying to move up from featherweight, where Floyd ignored the catchweight and had to come in heavy.

talking about how he gave his life to the sport then mentions Ray Robinson who fought 200 professional fights.. and nikkas like Ali and Leonard who fought all the greats of their era's...

nikka wont even fight unless he can control all the revenue. . his opponent is spanish.. and its on a apanish holiday.. Hes a disgrace

I am a bit angry actually because I really love the sport of boxing and care about its history so when someone makes a statement so blatantly false like you did it blows me! Its just crazy how you dont even know simple boxing history but than again not all that surprising. Here's a little free history lesson for you, you slack jawed, buffon. Ali did not come straight out of jail and fight Frazier ! He actually fought not just once but in fact twice, first against Jerry Quarry then against Oscar Bonavena.
