edit: maybe you are right, 2 physical cores bother me though. I will say that its attractive because of the upgrade path, but only cop it if you can grab it at under $100 IMO.
Also as far as the graphics cards, definitely go with AMD right now for value. You can sell the bundled games and hopefully grab a rebate as well. NVIDIA's drivers and Psyx are very important to some people though.

AMD 6300 benchmarks;
starcraft 2 - 73 fps
Skyrim - 61 fps
Far Cry 3 - 87 fps
Average: 73 fps
I3-4130 benchmarks;
starcraft 2 - 85 fps
skyrim - 74 fps
far cry 3 - 84 fps
average - 81 fps

I prob build and gamed on PCs while some of you were babies. Shyt is a DEDICTED pursuit. The only time I would ever get back into it is I had the money to have someone upgrade my rig every year minimum because let's be honest you're going to hook up a gaming PC for $700 and it will be irrelevant next week.
I'm a casual gamer so a console works best for me now. When I had time to kill I spent it learning building and upgrading my machines and played some classic to amazing titles. I thoroughly enjoy PC gaming but it ain't feasible in my current lifestyle. Does that make me a console peasant or are you PC elitists just stereotypical nerds with nothing but time on their hands to tinker with toys

I havnt upgraded my computer in quite awhile and it runs everything 1080p 80-120 FPS on max settings
I last updated my processor when Crysis 3 came out (feb 2013) and my video card in middle of 2012..
sick of these bull shyt lies being tossed around here that you need to upgrade all the time.. its been 2 years on my video card already and it still plays everything max settings no problem at high FPS
within the past 5 years I bet you have spent more on console shyt than I have on PC shyt
lets not act like you aint buy a PS3 for $400 then a PS4 for $400 thats $800 already in the past 5 years, do we really want to add up the extra costs of controllers, video games, psn purchases, DLC purchases, etc ?
and thats only if you owned 1 console
