Man, we would all be breaking down Shedeur tape right now and in a gleeful mood if they didn't give this dumbass his money right before this disasterous season. What the hell were they thinking. They let the media bully them into thinking that there would be a line of suitors ready to sign him if they didn't do it immediately. Now you look around the league and all of a sudden a lot of those "suitors" are moving forward w/ young QBs. There was no market for this clown outside of the Raiders. Where are the suitors??
Romo only one 10 or more games 3 times. Dak has done it 5 times including 12 wins, 3 years in a row.
The problem is Jerry Jones doesn't know how to manage a roster. And the older he's gotten, he's gotten worse. The fact that Stephen Jones hasn't fully taken over GM duties is telling. Last season was the Cowboys final shot at a title run. Dan Quinn left, so the defense was going to take a hit. As for Dak, Jerry Jones doesn't know how to pick QB's. The last QB he tried to draft high was Jonny Manziel and they had to talk him out of it. Romo was an undrafted player someone else picked. Dak was supposed to be a backup not a starter. He just happened to take over a stacked team build for Romo.
Since Parcells left, Jerry Jones has never blown up a team and been willing to lose in order to rebuild through the draft. He would rather make dumb trades or over pay his players, just to stay competitive. People keep talking about Shedeur, but they probably won't have a high enough pick to get him. Dak has benefitted from having talent around him. He was never the type of QB that could carry a team. If he was in Baltimore, they would probably have the the same record as Dallas or worse. He's not even mobile anymore. Minnesota let Cousins go because they knew they already knew they peaked with him.
Like i've been saying for years, the real problem is Jerry Jones. Not Dak, Not the players, not the coaches.. JERRY JONES.
