Signed Zeke for short yardage situations....need 2 yards for 2 points...run a sprint out pass with Dak not throwing it anywhere near the endzone and the receiver not running the route anywhere near the endzone

Obviously the team, personnel, and coaching being ass isn’t entirely or even majority on Dak. But do you Dak defenders not realize that setting the market at a record $60mil AAV precludes your team from being able to surround you with the OLine to protect you and skill players to complement you and defense to keep you in games?

KG took record money with the Wolves in the 2000s and his team couldn’t do shyt.

I promise you a lot of us Cowboys fans wouldn’t have this level of smoke for Dak if he was being paid $40-45mil AAV like a Kirk Cousins, which is basically his comp. Even $50mil would be palatable and give us more wiggle room for personnel decisions?

$60mil AAV? Yeah, he can get Andrew Luck’d for all I care. He wanted his cash, he got his cash. Now he can suffer with the moribund players the team is relegated to putting around him.

It's not Dak's job to make the cap work. That's Jerry/Stephen's job. Therein lies the issue. We acknowledge that the Jones' are the biggest barrier to success but we keep putting it on the players and coaches.

Dak's job is to play his best and let his agent get the best deal. Jerry and Stephen have to make better decisions but they aren't capable of doing it. They won't hire the right coach....they allow a crap culture to permeate and then let fans blame the highly paid QB for all the problems.

Dak is getting $60M/year on an almost fully guaranteed contract. Jerry bought a yacht that's worth more than Dak's whole contract. He turned $150M into $10B. It's on the Jones family to fix it or hire people that can.

Scheme and coaching.

Dak and the receivers are good enough but the Boys system is antiquated. You never see Dak looking down field with wide azz open receivers. If he plays well, it's usually him making a BUNCH of tough throws....think of the 28-24 Minnesota loss a few years ago at the Death Star. Dak played the best game of his life but he had to hit so many tight throws.

Then we see other teams where 2 or 3 receivers just run free down the middle of the field because of the scheme and route concepts used to help get them open.
