I watched the first season a few weeks ago but just gave up midway thru the 2nd season. It’s tries way too hard to take itself seriously and it tries to appeal to everyone with dumb shyt that characters say like “you’re not supposed to be a good guy, you’re a heel! A heel is someone who tries to get an angry reaction from the crowd…” it’s like ok if someone doesn’t even know what the fukk a Heel is why would they be watching the show. They overexplain way too much and for all the talk about Amell being a “wrestling guy” the dumbest thing in this show was when his baby bytch brother tore open that guys leg during a match and then just apologized to him at a christening the next week and started wrestling again that weekend. Absurd shyt. Rest in piss to this show.

The annoying Joanna Gaines-looking wife really was the nail in the coffin for this show apart from the actual writing.

This muhfukka not once ever gave any indication that he was trying to be a flippy indie wrestler until the beginning of the season 2 finale so they shoehorn that in just to go with the paralyzed story. They should’ve made it more believable and go with the story if he would’ve botched something simple like a back body drop bump to make it make sense for the character…
