I kinda agree. At this point, there isn't really one character that I'm genuinley interested in. I'll give it more time to see if the characters start to grow on me, but this pilot episode left me feeling indifferent towards it.

another great thing is the episodes only 30 minutes, the whole show flew by compared to what i usually watch or at least thats what it felt like.

I dunno how one episode automatically becomes an indictment on the whole show... but unless you have already seen the entire season then how can you predict this ?

If you can do a better job then by all means, go and produce and sell your own show :pharrell:

The show needs better characters. Not one in the pilot got me wanting to watch a second episode. A good tv show needs good characters. This show has zero.

Silicon Valley and Entourage pilots both had me wanting to see more. This pilot had me wanting to turn it off 10 mins before it ended. If you can't see the difference between a good pilot and this, maybe you should watch Silicon Valley, The Sopranos or The Wire pilots to give you an idea.

that's the issue, you got people in here gassing this like it's a classic already. nah, there is a lot lacking from this show, it may work itself out as the season progresses, but the blind praise over the course of this thread got me :wtf:

Let me help you out with something...I have never and would never want to see one second of Encourage. Not even sure what the grand scheme of that show is even about. And what show in recent years has had a Sopranos like Pilot? That's absurd...TRUE BLOOD? Game of Thrones? None of that shyt has been even remotely close in the first episode. No show has. Seinfeld wasn't even that good and was damn near canceled until midway through.

What blind praise? If nyggas liked it, they liked it. If you didn't feel it, that's it. It's not for you and you can wait for some more Game of Thrones comedy.

i can see we're not gonna have a serious conversation, plenty of "GOAT, HBO does it again, this is :wow:" reactions. very few well thought out reactions to the show, as i said, blind praise. you can like it without acting like it's without fault.

edit: most film room discussions have always been more in depth, i'd expect these reactions in TLR
