iTunes looks like they're in the process of updating all seasons to 16:9. All of seasons 1-2 are done, looks like half the episodes in 3 and 4 are in 16:9 and none in season 5.

Still standard def but the picture quality does look a little better than the DVDs. If they're going to the trouble of rescanning to 16:9 I have to believe they're planning on releasing on Blu-Ray sometime soon.

Amazon prime seems to be following suit as well

yeah i never understood why directors do/say that shyt. Like yeah it does add a effect and makes it look gritty but who the fukk cares? People are so used to HD nowadays that shyt is a chore to watch. Im watching the shield rn and the directors/writers said the same shyt
